Title: Clam's Guide to KC Sushi Bars
Post by: pissclams on September 04, 2007, 11:41:26 AM
Feel free to add to the list or share good/bad experiences.

Matsu - Westport Road, by Blaneys.  Great value, great sushi.
Kona - Plaza, Ward Parkway.  More expensive, great sushi.
Kaiyo - 119th & Roe.  Out south, location blows, sushi is very good.
Nara - 16th and Main.  Good sushi, kinda trendy.
Kabuki - Crown Center.  Expensive.  Decent.  Kinda old school gay.
Jun's - 79th & State Line, Prairie Village.  Good, ex-GF loved it there, was her favorite KC sushi.

ECN -sorry for the bad directions the other night, I was pretty wasted and got confused and was thinking about Nara but directed you to Seven.    :curse:

Now barbeque on the other hand:   :ksu:

You may now resume your discussion of raw fish.

It's facing the main parking lot.  You've probably driven by it every time you've been there.

does one piece of raw fish really taste that much different than another?

Mildly off topic, but if you just like Asian food in general, there is a good Korean restaurant on Metcalf by Jose Peppers called, Rainbow Cafe.

nope, we're just acting like it.  go grab a carp from that pond in your backyard and chow down!

No I mean raw tuna from one place really tastes different from raw tuna at another?  Don't get me wrong, I like sushi, but it seems expensive to get full.

its not really a place to go to get full.

its a place to go with friends...talk about message board douches, and drink saki.

if you want to get full...go to the sizzler.

but sushi bars are just to giggle and fart.

I went on a Sunday, at about 6 or 7. There was about 10 people there.
