Title: Did Prince get too overconfident because the D was dominating?

Seems we got sucked in thinking we would hold them off and win in the 4th.

Alessana needed help bad.

I don't get why on that one drive we decided to play off the receivers a few yards.  Instead of continuing to play aggressive defense(which was owning Auburn) we played conservative "bend but don't break" defense and it killed us.

Of course, it all spawned off of a bad call.  Roughing the kicker my ass.

Could the reason we didn't use a RB to block be that we wanted to throw a screen or at least have the option to?

Going for the punt block was the fatal error.  Absolutely stupid and needless.  You can argue till your blue in the face about whether or not it was roughing, you don't gamble in that situation.  You drop back in punt coverage.

We were in the drivers seat at point in the game, the momentum was on our side, and we were poised to deliver the knock out punch.  Our defense was dominating the line of scrimmage, we held them deep and we would have gotten the ball at mid-field with a prime opportunity to grind down the clock and score the winning points.  Game over.

The penalty completely changed the momentum of the game and shifted the field position battle.  We lost the game becuase of those two things.

Totally agree....there is a time for aggression but that wasn't it.   The coaching staff should have never put the team in a position to make that mistake.

BTW...it was roughing and not just running into....the refs got that call right.
