Tyler Hansbrough's dad refs SEC football.  A poor one at that too.

Rush D.

It was back in FORCE tonight. Who'd have thought our secondary would be spottier than our line? Excellent job... by the end of the year, the lynch mob might just be back.

Also, somewhat happily surprised with O-line play. It again, was spotty, but overall I think much improved. We have to remember this was the 1st game. Until the last 4 mins, Josh was upright.

I honestly thought the rush d would be like the rutgers game.

They were unreal. We were just owning them.

The new uni's.

For real, though, the right 4 of the oline.

Also no surprise, but not much praise for Ian Campbell so far, but he had a hell of a game. He didn't make a lot of tackles per say, but he disrupted a hell of a lot of plays. I think he's gonna f*ck some people up in conf. play.  :ksu:

This is true.  I'd kind of forgotten what it was like against Rutgers.

I just wish the Big XII was still a running league.   F-ing spread offenses.  :frown:

The 3-4 was designed to combat those spread offenses, no?

So the fact that we completely blew up AU's run game with it should be considered a huge bonus.

Well, more linebackers = more speed, I guess.

we had more speed on the outside of our D than I expected, we were flowing to the ball wonderfully.  Murphy looks like a player as well.

The key to stopping the spread is:

a) speed, and
b) d-line pressure

so this may translate into success against that, as well.  We're going to see what, five or six spread offenses in conference play?

Chandler looked good, like he is gonna a real good one at KSU.

Childs looked good as well.

Manu was in on some plays, thats promising.

A. Moore, obviously, though he missed that safety.

Marcus Perry...why was he on the field?

The only thing that blatantly sucked was all of the penalties. Everything else looked good for the most part. Our secondary wasn't great at times but was decent for the most part. Alesana played well for most of the game and just fell off a cliff in the fourth quarter. He was blocking real well for awhile and threw some great downfield blocks. I'm just excited that the season has started.
