Title: The next 11
Post by: Snyderfanatic on September 01, 2007, 11:23:47 PM
Based on tonight, we will be favored in at least 8, maybe 9 games the rest of the way. This was a great game and I feel much better (after the opener) about this season than I did last year with a 1 point home win against a 1-AA. Other than Texas and NU, no one really worries me the rest of the way. The Mob looks like it's back and we are one step closer to being a dominant team again.

Easy there. We played an SEC team with loads and loads of new starters, who historically has not shown up for the first game of the year.
I'll see how they respond next week and then vs UT to really believe the Mob is back.

Shut up.  Both teams played well.  I wish Alesana hadn't let Freeman get rocked, but it happened.  I wish A. Moore hand't let that guy get 10 yards behind him.  But for the most part, we played very well.  Don't down grade it.

Add OSU, and an upset of NU or UT to that list, seriously 10-2 season

I don't know how many we'll win but I'm not scrared of going anywhere to play now.  At Texas, at OSU, at NU bring it on.  I questioned why we scheduled this game but I think it's going to do a lot for the program.  I was right and Prince was wrong.  He's got brass balls and  he's bringing the swagger back to K-State football.  We're going to beat the crap out of San Jose State and Missouri State and go down to Texas expecting to beat those pukes too.  Doesn't mean it's going to happen but it's the mindset our boys have and I love it.

Mangino is talking about ku's mindset and how its' different but I'm not sure that comes from the schedule they play.  They'll probably piss thier pants in Manhattan like they always do when they get away from home against a real team for the first time.

Your team is about like I thought they'd be (hence my prediction of a 16-13 win for Auburn last night). Defense is athletic and makes plays. But you could make an argument that Auburn is one of the worst offenses you'll see all year. You guys need to hope your team can hold up physically and mentally because there's really not much depth. Freeman is going to need all of his 260 lbs because he's going to take a beating all year.

C'mon man.  The oline probably faced one of the toughest front 7s they'll see all year and they looked okay.  Its the first game, I feel good about the oline, they'll come together as the season progress and get better.  Freeman won't be taking hits like that all year.
Depth?  The only places we lack real depth is at QB, NT, and LT.  We don't have USC depth, but we aren't barren.
