Title: Freeman's Shoulder Hernia Update
Post by: pissclams on August 31, 2007, 10:54:39 AM
My buddy who plays on the team said that Josh's shoulder hernia is still causing him a lot of pain, apparently he's down to 45% of normal throwing motion.  Prince still has him practicing with the 1st teamers and plans on starting him Saturday unless things turn dramatically worse.

This part might be partly rumor- apparently Freeman's dad called Prince and told him he didn't want Josh playing if he wasn't at least 70% because he didn't want to hurt his shoulder hernia worse.  Prince went off on him JF ala Matt Boss.  Something's not adding up.

Why Prince?  Why?   :curse: :curse: :curse: :curse:

Let's hope Tuberville doesn't read this board and decide to fill the box and cover the underneath routes, thus negating the short passing game but leaving the deep game wide open even though we cannot take advantage.

that would suck ass bigtime.

I present to you something I call Exhibit A-

As most of you know, Freeman's shoulder hernia has been a lot slower to heal than Prince and his staff originally thought it would take.  These injuries can take anywhere between 6-8 weeks to heal, but tracking back to when Evridge left, I think it's pretty apparent what happened...

Anyone that doesn't support Freeman right now isn't a true powercat.
#1 you suck as K-State Fans
#2 this picture highlights the basis of the problem
#3 evridge had shoulder hernia twice in high school (sorry you can't use that as an excuse)

Most offensive lines refuse to block for a QB with any type of shoulder hernia, and ours is no different.  Hopefully our trainers will communicate with the appropriate personal on the staff and get everything straightened out.  We can win vs AU although they are a very well coached team.

He can throw just as many interceptions with his left arm as he can his right.

**UPDATE! (NON-PREMIUM)!!

Sources confirm that the hernia has spread to his patella!  Doctors are hoping that the notoriously painful stem cell therapy (they inject directly into his maniscus and marrow) will help slow things down before his inevitable off-season surgery.  In other words, the treatment will be painful and ongoing but Prince has forced Freeman to delay surgery until the off-season.  The sacrifice that Freeman is making is rumored by team physicians and trainers to rival that of only Jesus of Nazareth.  Expect A TON of counter-trey RIGHT, counter-trey LEFT, bubble screen, PUNT.  Prince is considering quick kicking on any 3rd down situation over 10 yards @ Auburn.

Our worst fears, CONFIRMED. :'(
