Title: One of the reasons why Jim Wooldridge is so frustrating
Post by: michigancat on January 29, 2006, 10:01:58 AM
When his teams lose, it's pretty rare that you feel like they didn't have a good shot at winning.  I don't know if that's a sign of good coaching, since he keeps them in games, or if it's a sign of poor coaching because they rarely get "over the hump".

Either way, it's frustrating as hell.

I mean, it's usually the players' faults.  It's not like Jim is calling timeouts to tell them to not get back on defense or miss shots or commit turnovers.

In all seriousness, I think the fact that they always appear to "have a chance" in games has a lot to do with his popularity despite his lack of results.

There is no point in watching the 1st 35 minutes of a road game. They are all the same.

Thank you for describing Marty Schottenheimer. I'm going to go throw up now.

Seriously.....I don't know if you're aware of this but we've had two head coaches since JW. You really need to think about moving on.

Check the date.  You're dumb.

P.S.  I'm just going to ask, what does ttt mean?  I really don't know.

ttt = to the top.  similar to nm (no message), but the sole purpose of the post is to bring a forgotten thread (or in this case, an interesting thread from the past that is relevant again) back to the top of the board, so as to get people to read or post to it again.

you can also use "bump", although I think that is reserved more to make fun of a post or poster.

That was a cub mistake, on the flipside his response was very good, "Check the date. You're dumb."  Excellent.  :shy:

I was feeling insecure about not knowing what ttt meant and I just lashed out at him.  It won't happen again.

Nah it's great, we all lash out at him.  You just shouldn't have let him in on the secret that this thread is 16 yrs old (like his girlfriend).
