Good-Defense keeps Auburn in check most of the night. The speed on the defense is the reason why. The return game makes a big play that sets up a score (FG or TD).
Bad-KSU kicking. Prince gets cute and takes a bad gamble that results in points for Auburn.
Ugly-What the Auburn front seven will do to our offensive line.

Good: Powercats all over ESPN all night long on opening weekend for College Football.

Let Auburn come at us...and runs screens and draws. It's JJohnson's strong suit anyway.
They'll come out like Texas did and throw the house at Freeman to shake him up...and he's going to either step up and make a throw...or puss out like he did against Kansas. It's up to him.

Good:
- Prime-time game with national audience, gets in the homes of a lot of recruits
- our return game
Bad:
- Prime-time game with national audience, gets in the homes of a lot of recruits (I put this in both good and bad because how many recruits want to see the team recruiting them get embarassed?)
- Our Run defense
- Our field goal kicking and long snapping
- whatever stupid trick play Prince tries on his own 20 or 30 yard line
Ugly:
- Our o-line, God help the Turnover Machine

1) I think that's better than not getting on TV at all.
2) AU's style doesn't embarrass too many people.
-
Good: Kstate's defense
Bad: Kstate's kicking game
Ugly: Josh Freeman's stats and the final scoreboard.
**This is more of a statement of how good I think Auburn/SEC football is***
-
The good: We actually take the lead early, thinking we have a chance to win this game
The bad: When Freeman gets injured badly because he has no protection, and suddenly our offense dies completely
The ugly: Coffman is our starting quarterback for the rest of the season
:flush:
-
Good: Pass Rush.
Bad: Run Defense, Offensive Line.
Ugly: Place Kicking and Josh Freeman
-
Good: Our team winning a big game on national TV
Bad: Racial History of Auburn
Ugly: The fact that too many "Cat fans" throwing our starting QB under the bus! The Sqawks are very proud of all of you. :nutkick:
-
good - nothing (powercats getting embarrassed on epsn is not good)
bad - everything
ugly - who cares
-
Good: Brandon Cox getting lit up repeatedly
Bad: Josh Freeman getting lit up repeatedly
Ugly: The hangover the next week against SJS

2) AU's style doesn't embarrass too many people.
Kind of like the Rutgers model of a dominating defense and ball control run game that ran the ball 62.47% (496/794) of the time.

Auburn ran the ball 62.5% (470/752) of the time last year...

wont this be the largest crowd KSU will play in front of?
ever?
lets see how that works out.
-
Good: Calluses
Bad: Getting smoked
Ugly: Long week leading up to San Jose St. and having serious concerns about winning that game.
-
pancake-
I think we kill San Jose. Their record was inflated last year with playing awful teams. I don't think they beat any winning teams.
-
Bad: How our athletes compare to theirs
Ugly: DT and OL
Good: Basketball (Bennett chose us :ksu: :ksu: 1-0 vs. Auburn!!!!11111!!)

I hope you are right.

Good: we cover
Bad: we lose 6-10
Ugly: 2 missed field goals and a blocked PAT

Yeah, and neither team embarrassed many halfway decent teams last season.

Are you excluding KSU from the "halfway decent team" group last year? I pretty much think Auburn will do what Rutgers did, only they may not score 37, just 30 and that probably won't all come from their offense.
Edit: never mind, I see the "many" qualifier. But I still think we get Rutger'd.
-
Good: Our front seven owns them.
Bad: Freeman has a Miizzou type game. Defense eventually quits after offense goes 3 n out repeatably.
-

The Coliseum is bigger, it seats about 6,000 more than Jordan-Hare. But I'd imagine that this will be a more frenzied environment due to So-Cal's relaxed sports attitude. Now, if this will be the most hostile environment, I'd say probably not. NU seats almost as many, Texas A+M is another traditionally hostile stop, and OU is cetainly nothing to sneeze at. All of those teams actually have a history with us, and it seems like crowds seem to get more involved in situations like that. BUT, Jordan-Hare has it's reputation for many reasons, and I really hope we are able to get something going early to quiet the crowd a bit.

Good: Powercats all over ESPN all night long on opening weekend for College Football.
They'll be behind the talking heads on other networks as well.
-
The Good: They're only going to play four quarters and no quarter will exceed 15:00. :dancin:
The Bad: KSU's defense and special teams.
The Ugly: KSU's offense versus Auburn's defense.

Can you at least come up with an original gimmick? Thanks.

Good: 1st Quarter score.
Bad: Halftime score.
Ugly: Final score.

He shoots ... he scores! Which is more than we'll be able to say about KSU after the Auburn game. :yuck:  :billypopcorn:
