Lies, damn lies and statistic.  The truth is we were good enough to win 7 games and earned the right to play in a bowl game.  The truth is our freshman QB earned the title of Big 12 player of the week two weeks in a row. The truth is we are caplable of being very good.  The truth is players typically get better with age.  Truth is 7-5 in 2006, selected to play in the Texas Bowl!  Go Cats!  It was real!

Karma would cause KSU's numbers to improve, but for KSU to have a worse record.  But no one should believe in karma.  I sure don't.

I think it is more the games we lost we absolutely sucked.  Those games are making the numbers awful

not to mention he included OOC games. Should only use big 12 games.

I've said it before: when you're eking out wins over the dregs of the college football world and getting blown out by everyone else you pretty much suck ass.   :ksu:

Actually we performed much better than we should have, due to a good coach. You win games b/c coaching, it may not seem like it but this is the truth.

It seems like a mircale but it goes to show you how much people under value special teams.

Those stats look bad, but they're pretty selective.  None of those stats are more relevant than KO returns (1st in conference and nation), sacks (1st), red zone defense (1st), and punt returns (2nd).

I said before last season that special teams may be our saving grace, and it looks like I was right.

It is hard to apply the stats that cover a whole season to us last year.  When we were bad, were were REALLY bad.  When we were good, we were really good.  There weren't many in the middle performances.

Most of our defensive stats were middle of the road.

Yes, because Texas and Oklahoma State were definitely dregs of the college football world. It would even be a stretch to label Colorado as a dreg since we were playing them in Boulder.
