Ready to make a Big 12 statement?

With eyes dancing, Murphy said, "Yes sir. I think I can make a strong impact right away. I'm talking the first game. I think I can make an impact right then and there."

I'm remembering Frank Murphy pledging to take his first carry 80 yards to the house at CU.

I only read articles pertaining to defecting players.

This confidence stuff is boring.

"The Power of One, it's representing team unity," said Kansas State sophomore quarterback Josh Freeman. "It's also individual power. The Power of One is described as the internal flame that burns inside of everybody, like the desire to better yourself."

He truly is an American hero.

You notice the thread on the left side of the page about Mike Beasely leaving for Duke?  Gotta love an anonymous source claiming to be close to the basketball team making such an outlandish statement.  I'm guessing he's a Jayhawk fan.

If an article about Prince doesn't use either the word "tyrant" or "thug" then I don't believe a word of it.  Nice try Mercury.

and, in Murphy's words, "The great Jordy Nelson."

Haha, that's great.

If I remember correctly it was Michael Bishop who proclaimed that Murphy would take it 80 yards to the house on his first carry.  I don't think we heard from Mike much after that.  :blindfold:

I remember Murph making the prediction.  He missed the first few games ( I believe 4) of the season due to suspension for the BMW fiasco.  His first game back was CU.  I think he was about 78 yards short of his prediction...

Better than being 82 yards short of his prediction.
