per scott girad, and the collegian

Student GA still left? I thought they were sold out.
-
WOW
They should advertise or something.
-
Impossible.
-
of course, they fact that they are 143 bucks doesn't help.
-
Are we talking about student tickets or young alumni tickets. I just got something in the mail about young alumni tickets, so I'm assuming they are not sold out yet.
-
Shocking...they should buy some billboard space
-
they're like moths to a flame.

a picture taken from ku's Fan Day last night, held on the ku campus which is surrounded by ku students and fans and yet no one went.

maybe that's what Lew meant by "Select-a-Seat"

Unlike the Grape suckfest in Olathe in the middle of the hottest day of the year, the ku fans opted to sit in the shade. Well played however.

I'm also going to buy 2 more sets, so i'm assuming they will come close to selling out. (usually my small sample size)

Actually, Young Alumni is just a discount on regular tickets. There's no "Young Alumni Section."

I'll take 2

Alas I remember going to a camp out for student tickets my freshman year. :crybaby:

They're like 20 bucks at ku. :curse:

Hey kind of like that "crude estimate" 3,500 at the Squawk Club Mangino Buffet in KC.
-
I didn't buy any. I can get better and cheaper seats before kickoff. I'll buy season tickets* for anyone that wants them, I'll even give you my student ID.
*$100 surcharge for time and labor.

Sadly after the $100 surcharge, they're still cheaper and better seats.

See, I'd be cutting someone a deal.

Like they say.... "Good ain't cheap, and cheap ain't good in most cases". In other words, "you get what you pay for".

It was pretty crude. I read the next day that Olathe officials put the attendance at 10,000.

Yeah, it's really hard, when you know a stadium seats about 6,000 or so, and at one point about 90% of the seats are full and there's also a large contingent of people standing along the fence . . . it's extremely difficult to say there was 6,000 there.

hey, I'm not arguing with you. Its the video of the scrimmage showing the stands 1/3 full that is. But sure, 6,000. :ksu:

Umm-hmm, you got me that video was from the entire practice.

They could have sit behind Fatboy and got plenty of shade. :bootyshake:

Daxie -- I think you may have misinterpreted the estimate...They estimated they served 3,500 based on food consumption. So, there was Mangino, his towel boy, and about 498 fans.

didn't say it was. The video showed Freeman throwing a pass during a live contact situation, so I only assume it was the scrimmage that Hatter has told us "was completely full". :kugayfight:

Yep, people don't tend to come and go at those type of events on blazing hot days.
Just an FYI to all reading this board. ku listed somewhere in the neighborhood of 30-35 games straight, in the late 1980's as having attendance figures that ended in 00 or 000. They had similar stretches throughtout the 1990's and into the 00's.
In fact, the guy doing the counting in the late 1980's went on to develop the "Acura" trademark.
-
Is it just me, or do ku fans who didn't go to the scrimmage look legally retarded when trying to dog the attendance of the event?

We do. Its totally different than dogging the attendance of the Prairie Village pep rally. :ksu:
-
I wasn't dogging the "attendance", I was dogging the usual highly suspect ku attendance taking.

Pre ordering tickets on KATS has been closed for quite a while, and their tickets they have remaining don't go on sale until August 28th.
I got my ICATs btw :)
