Title: Karma for Nubbs.
Post by: geesiskryst on August 22, 2007, 05:24:32 PM
After the insensitivity shown to Olu Hall's situation with his brother.

A similar situation hits home to one of theirs.

Purify was unclear about details of the shooting. He was not yet sure when it happened, but knew it occurred in California and involved gunshots.

as opposed to arrows? poison darts?

About as idiotic as calling someone dumb because he dropped classes even though it was noted that he did so to tend to his family dealing with the same situation. Silly Nubb.

don't ksu fans get tired of being the go to school when your to stupid to make the grades in your first choice school?  good god, it's really disgusting.  no wonder your grad rates for football players is so low.

Eligible by a wavier. Ineligible by the NCAA. Can you read Hatter?? The kid looks like another Jerrell Powe.

Wow are there any academic standards at all at Kansas State? First Patterson, now this dude. A proud institution of higher learning it seems.

All written after the initial post stating why he was ruled ineligible...He dropped classes after his brother was shot and killed.

Nubb double standards are the best.

We can take shots, but don't bitch when we give them back.

I didn't post on that thread at all. I scanned it and didn't see anything other than Maxell and I Like Nebraska making fun of you guys for picking him up when he had bad grades...nothing about his brother, and certainly no taunting him about the death of his brother.

purifys brother was killed because he gave a ride to a guy that gave him directions.  When the dude got in the car he pulled out a gun to rob them and the rest is history.  it was also his birthday.

much different than hanging out with thug gangsta types and having one of them pull his gun before you could pull yours and plugging you

to - a preposition
too - an adverb
two - a noun or and adjective

your - a pronoun
you're - a contraction

Test for the Nubbs (and their outrageously high academic standards) -- Where did "I like Nebraska plus I'm gay and happy" misuse the above words in a post ripping Kansas State's academics?

Seriously dude, that's sad but do you really feel bad for mo?

I mean, he hit a woman, and risked others lives by driving drunk.

Live by the sword, die from robbers.

he never hit any woman.  as for driving drunk, it's unfortunate but alot of people do it, 1.4 million a year to be precise,  not all of them deserve to have their relatives killed.  I also don't know how that retarded comment, live by the sword die by the sword applies here, nothing happened to Purify, it happened to his brother.

now, if purify had been hurt or killed by a drunk driver you would have a point.

It's ok that Purify drove drunk because "a lot of people do it, 1.4 million a year to be precise."

False

Come to think of it, this would be ironic:  Some guy drunk off his ass attacked him at a bar and then the guy's girlfriend beat the s**t our of Purify.  After that both the guy that attacked him and his girlfriend resisted arrest and were booked on a bunch of charges.  Just a few weeks later the same guy is drunk off his ass again and runs down Maurice killing him dead.  Now, that would be irony.

well, there is driving under the influence and driving just totally drunk off your arse.  just because a little meter says your impaired doesn't always mean your not in control of your vehicle.  Then there is the frank solich driving drunk, so drunk your facing the wrong way on the road, so drunk you can't even open the door.  to say that mo was putting everyones lives at risk assumes that he was the frank solich type drunk driver when that wasn't the case at all.

like I said, 1.4 million people a year get their first dui.  do all of them deserve to have a family member murdered?

and no, he didn't punch any girl, he didn't assault any girl.  witness comments took that little fabrication and washed it down the crapper.  he isn't a woman beater like your head coach, check out his history with woman.  scum bag

Never said he deserved to have a family member murdered, just laughed at your logic that it is OK to drive under the influence of alcohol because "a lot of people do it."  As far as our head coach (Prince I'm assuming), I don't know his history with women, or where to look it up.

We all saw how sensitive KSU fans on this board were (rightfully so) when the former Wildcat's wife passed away a few months ago.

This isn't about a football game.  The young man lost his brother.  Show some compassion or STFU.  Funny how this thread title involves the word, "karma."

I'd ask you to show me where I ever even mentioned Olu's brother, but I realize I'd be wasting bandwidth, as that yellow stripe on your back will prevent you from doing so.

Well, it's either that yellow stripe or the FACT that I've never said a negative word about Olu's brother...

The argument re: what BAC level constitutes being drunk is a different one than whether it's very wrong to drink and drive.  Your cousin being killed by a drunk driver is a tragedy and is direct evidence of just how dangerous drinking and driving is.  Nebraska actually recently did change the DUI laws, now there are 2 categories.  The low category, .08 to .14 has the same punishments.  .15 and over has higher penalties and a 2nd one of .15 and over is now a felony.  I think having these 2 categories is a very good thing.

Purify's brother being murdered is a completely different incident from drunken driving of any kind, and is a tragedy.  Please treat it as such KSU fans, or please don't say anything.  Any NU fan in my mind that made fun of Olu because of the tragedy he suffered is wrong too.

It's unfortunate that some many on this board, with their constant taunts about Brook Berringer's death and now the death of Purify's brother, can't tell the difference.
