Title: 2 TE set
Post by: Fledermaus on August 21, 2007, 07:51:30 AM
What do you think about the 2 TE set that we often use?  I'm not a fan of 2 TEs, esp. without a dominating front 5 on the o-line.  It seems to me that using a FB would be a better for picking up penetration through our line, and would help out the rushing attack a lot more.   IMO, Norwood was a terrible blocker, so adding an extra WR would also have been an improvement over 2 TEs.  I know we don't have a true FB right now, but what do you think of the different approaches?

I hate not utiizing a fullback.  Of course, I'm not a huge fan of Prince's offensive schemes anyway.  WCO =

Victor Mann would be dominant this season.

Standing still, Victor Mann always looked like he was about to tip over.

1999 we used the 2 TE set with both FB and RB quite a bit.  Just let Beasley stand there until Morgan got open.

Boring as heck, but worked.
