stud LB/DE Olu Hall is transferring to you guys. Was the No. 1 recruit out of the State of VA in 2004 (I think). Tremendous athlete and from what I hear a very fine young man. Just could not cut it academically at UVA but gave it a good effort. Congrats and best of luck to him.
I will try to find a recruiting profile to post.
I should clarify as it is unfair to Olu. He was ineligible under NCAA guidelines this year, not UVA's. Last year it was the other way around as UVA's requirments exceed NCAA ones. It is not really clear what happened this year (as we have never seen UVA approve a kid before and the NCAA not), but the general thought is that UVA allowed him a waiver to drop some classes without penalty under a humanitarian appeal as his brother was shot and killed during the year, while the NCAA found that he made insufficient progress towards a degree as a result. Regardless, he tried hard and will be a stud player for you -- likely at the outside pass rushing LB position cambell is filling now.

seriously dude..you are a major retard. The UVa poster says he is ELIGIBLE BY U. OF VIRGINIA standards. Get it yet? LOL at Nebraska tard trying to talk trash on a kid eligible at a school like UVa.
It is very scary that you don't get that.

One school in the Big 12 has more then the minimum NCAA standards. It's not KSU but it's not NU either.

Eligible by a wavier. Ineligible by the NCAA. Can you read Hatter?? The kid looks like another Jerrell Powe.

On Sunday at approximately 10 p.m., 24-year-old Orator "Jose" Wesley Hall was shot and killed by an acquaintance during an alcohol-fueled argument in the 6000 block of Old Blacksmith Drive.
A 19-year-old friend then drove Hall away from the scene, according to Fairfax County Police. Hall later died in the parking lot of the Glory Days restaurant on Old Keene Mill Road. A suspect has been identified, and charges are pending until his apprehension, police said.
Hall lived in Fairfax with his mother, one of his brothers, his sister and her fiance.
Hall's brother Olu, 22, gained acclaim for both his talent on the football field at Robinson Secondary School and now as a defensive end for the University of Virginia. Hall's other brother, Malcolm, 19, is also a football star at Robinson.
"He was a cool cat. He was my brother, and I loved him," said Olu, who has been home from school since his brother's death.
Bonnie Hall said she has spent the last two days on the phone, talking with her pastor and making funeral arrangements and other key phone calls.
Monday, the 19-year-old driver came to the Hall residence and tearfully told the entire family what happened that night. Bonnie Hall said she was told everyone involved had been drinking and that the alleged shooter is someone the family knows.
"[The driver] had tears in his eyes when he talked to us, and he said, 'It shoulda' been me. He had a family that loved him,'" Bonnie Hall recalled. "I said, 'Come on now, you got a chance to get your life straight. Don't let his livin' or dying be in vain. Use it.'"
Bonnie Hall said her son had a history with alcohol stemming from the untimely death of the family patriarch, Orator Hall, in 1993. Jose's alcohol abuse resulted in an early discharge from the Army. He had an arrest for driving under the influence and sought counseling at A New Beginning, an alcohol and drug treatment center in Chantilly, and was going to try out for a college team in Minnesota next week, his mother said.
"You kind of get angry and can't understand why God took him. But his battle with alcohol is over, and his soul has gone over to Christ," Bonnie Hall said.
Hall said that the funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Vienna, but that the date has not been set.
Fairfax County Police spokesman Mary Mulrennan said police are investigating whether the killing was drug-related, but Hall's family has taken issue with that point, as well as questioning police protocols that they say have not been followed correctly since the murder.
Bonnie Hall found out about her son's death when the driver's girlfriend came to her house at 3:45 a.m. Bonnie Hall then called the detective and went to the West Springfield District Police Station, she said, but was not allowed to see her son's body. She also said Tuesday that detectives are not returning her calls.

Jesus . . . we must have the stupidest F'ing Cornhole fans out of all Cornhole fandom (and related idiocy) posting on this board.
The kid was ineligible this year not because of grades but because of the NCAA's academic progress requirements, because his brother was killed. Last year, UVA's entrance requirements exceeded the NCAA minimums . . . but this is where the resident Cornhole fans hit the dumbass button again. Had he wanted to attend Cornhole State, he would've been eligible, because just like KSU, Cornhole State only requires the NCAA minimum requirements for incoming Freshman.
In addition if the dumbass resident Cornhole State fans would take the time to read Cornhole State's transfer requirements you'd see just how easy it is to get into Cornhole State and that's why Slashahan recruits so many Juco guys now (remember when Cornhole State fans used to make fun of KSU for recruiting Juco kids). In addition, Cornhole State's in-state transfer requirements are about as liberal as they come . . . the problem is, the Juco's in Cornhole country don't play any football to speak of.

It's funny that the only time academics are brought up is when, deep down, a Nebraska fan has to begrudgingly admit that we just landed another player that can flat out play some football.
Olu Hall fits that bill. A solid linebacker/runstopper that can pass cover when needed.

scared? why would we be scared? does he have another thug brother besides the one that got his arse blowed up?
ksu bringing yet another illiterate thug into it's program. thats scary smart.
and no, nu and ksu do not have the same standards. ksu allows a grade of D to transfer, nu does not. ksu allows phys ed classes to transfer, nu does not. so basically you can take bowling, badmitton, kickball and golf, get d's in all of them and thats good enough for ksu.
look at his picture, looks like he is concentrating on the book " see spot run"

Transfer students must carry a cumulative GPA of 2.0 (out of 4.0) to be admitted. That is a "C" average, not a "D" average. Judging by what I have read of your posts, I seriously doubt you carried a GPA much higher than that. Wait, I seriously doubt you ever attended college. You calling this kid dumb is like Mangino calling a kid fat. Pure hypocrisy.
-
I find it amusing that ksu fans watch one great player after another enter their program because they are to stupid to make the grades at other schools and pretend their academic requirements aren't the lowest in the nation. thomas clayton, good enough for fsu, then couldn't make the grades, could have gone anywhere, but chose ksu. patterson, good enough to be one of ou's prized recruits, to dumb for ou, of all the schools in the nation, ksu was the one. now this new guy, from uva, to stupid for that school a school that was able to grease in noel devine, a kid smarter than a pencil by one point but couldn't keep this kid. could have gone anywhere, but ends up at ksu. it's amazinig. ksu's to stupid for school players are acutally better than princes prep recruits.

great, why are you telling me? I never said anything about gpa's. all I said was that ksu allows a d to transfer, nu does not. so, a ksu transfer could take a bunch of phys ed classes, get a couple d's, then take a couple other cost classes, history of music, whatever, gets high grades and raise their average. at nu that wouldn't be possible, those phyd ed classes wouldn't count at all making the gpa obsolete because it doesn't matter if you have a 4.0, if you need 12 credits and only 4 transfer cause your other 2 classes were gym classes your screwed, and that is the differance

Hoax . . . there have been lots of guys get scores of 4 and 5 on the Wonderlic test. It's hard to find information on ku players taking Wonderlic tests because so few get invited to the combine. I know Cornish got a 37 (thank god for that K-12 Canadian Education system), Adrian Jones got a 17 (really blew Bishop's doors off didn't he??). . . can't find many more Squawk players though. Over the last 10 years, I find about 5 or 6 KSU players listed on the NFL combine results for every 1 ku player. (Gabe Nyenhaus CU a 7??? . . . but I digress).
In September 2005, the Wall Street Journal looked at how prospects from NCAA Division I schools scored on the Wonderlic Personnel Test, a standardized test administered as part of the NFL’s scouting combine. To qualify for the list, a school had to have at least 21 alums with reported Wonderlic scores over the past seven years. The exam has been given to millions of job seekers in dozens of fields, and the average score across the broader population is 21.

One of the many benefits of being a ku football fan....their players are never on TV so everybody can see which ones are the idiots....we just have to rely on graduation rates and NCAA probations. A number of programs at NU allow tons of D's to transfer in. Of course NU has gotten tricky and won't publically say what grades will actually transfer . . . you go through Transfer Credit Evaluation . . . aka if you can ball, we'll take any and all D's as long as you've got a 2.0 overall GPA.
Please go be a Mongoloid someplace else.

My question is-who will be your coach in 2008? I think the way Prince is headed, he's going to be fired at the end of this year.
WAAAHAAAHAAA
This coming from a fan of a program coached by this guy?

Dax --- You never fail to get pissy when you are reminded that you share a diploma with Bishop. Tulsa grads get the same way with Hatter.
You could say that about the former Secretary of Defense, who is also a KSU graduate.
That proves nothing.
Tell me, did that one guy that dove through the Taco Bell drive through window get a ku degree? Just say yes, laugh at yourself and move on.
