I think the perfect season motto for ku should've been "We won't need a D1AA win to get bowl eligible this year"!!

Good point.  I forgot the theme of this thread.  No, we didn't have as many excuses as you did.  Congrats.

Our excuses landed in a bowl...what say you?

Then what was the purpose of this thread?  To recount all the players who don't return this year?  I'm confused.

True.  Collins twisted his vagina a few times.  Probably pinched an ovary, or two.

yeah. but like, it didn't really matter because we finished with a better conference record than ku has had since 1995.

39-20 = yawn for ksu fans

39-20 = our identity/advertising for 2007/etc.. for ku

Wow.  This is just a pitiful, pitiful thread.  Goodness.  Are you looking for sympathy?  Or are you just whining?  39-20.  Get over it.  Got your ass beat.  Deal.  Or petition the NCAA and Big 12 to nullify the result.  Just stop whining.

The point is, we wonder how kstate can beat a top 5 team one week and then lose to a team like ku the next. Then we get it, cuz look at the players we were missing. take a gander and stop being f*cking arrogant and stupid. no figurs and hampered jordy=no deep threat, easy decision to blitz the hell out of freeman. no watts=not having our best playmaker on the field, i think that's kind of important. not having our two best corners on the field sucked but didn't matter much cuz meier sucks.  so i'm guessing you will say, well we beat you in the trenches, well yeah it's not that hard when you blitz 2 linebackers everytime.  in fact, we had more total yards than you.  if it wasn't for the two lucky td's (the int for td is gay as hell, f*cking gets tipped right to him) its a whole new ballgame.  You guys better hope you get lucky again with our injuries, cuz it's gay as f*ck we have to play texas before you again while you have a bye week.

PS, ku fans are the KINGS of whining.  you should hear the kids at my school after a ku basketball loss, it's like the end of the world.

"The point is, we wonder how kstate can beat a top 5 team one week and then lose to a team like ku the next."

So injuries can be the reason you lost to ku by 19, but a injury by Texas' starting QB and national freshman of the year can't be the reason you beat Texas by 3.  ku whooped you.  Cornish had over 200 yards.  You had/have a horrible offensive line.  ku played an ugly game as well.  Hell, Meier killed three drives inside the 20 all by himself.  A fumble inside your ten, an endzone interception on a horrble pass, and another red zone interception on a horrible pass.  And we still beat you.  By 19.  Stop whining.  Show some frickin' pride and admit you got beat soundly.

Dont forget Herndon. Wow at our secondary the last half of the season. No Baldwin, Watts, Herndon for the last three games. Two first string & one second.

We started a true frosh corner & had injuries all over the secondary and rush defense was still our weakness.

Right.  Got it now.  Would've made all the difference.  But you all won't miss Moran this year.  Got it.  Missing a starting DT mattered last year but it won't this year.  Got it.  Kyle Williams was all-league then, I assume?

Answer me this, how the hell did we end up with more total yards than you, yet you "whooped" us? Do you remember that 64-0 romping we gave you, now that's a "whooping".

QFT. Being bowl eligible with two games remaining & than beating the #4 in the nation was way more than enough needed for Prince to be successful in his first season.

Nothing really to play for against ku.

True, and I thought with a victory over ku that we would have a pretty good shot at the Alamo Bowl.

But, we were basically just playing for bragging rights over ku, 12/14 is a pretty nice # if you ask me.

I do remember the 64-0 game.  I was there.  I do remember ku beating KSU on the same field just two years later as well.  Quite a turnaround.

KSU ran 74 plays.  ku ran 59.  KSU had 15 more plays, yet only 7 more yards.  That's how you ended up with more yards.

ku-6.0 yards per play.
KSU-4.8 yards per play.

When a team gains 6.0 yards a play they generally have possesions that don't last very long.  They also generally score more points than the other team.

And good luck against Auburn.
