Yes, let's make fun of white trash Nascar loving chief fans for a while. Also, Zoobaz, they all have freakin' red and yellow Zoobaz. Jesus Christ.

lol at the fat guy in the club level rendering...
but ku still sucks

What's wrong with it? I don't really care either way, just curious why you hate it.
-
A little too Jetsons for my taste, doesn't really fit with the existing stadium in my opinion.

i just love how every other person is wearing a trent green #10 jersey

Because they promised a whole revamped arrowhead. The seats wont change, the aisles won't change. All they are doing is adding a building on the exterior. For what they are spending to build that piece of crap, they could have built a whole new stadium.

Arrowhead is basically a{[(n)?]} historic landmark. Like Soldier Field.

What did you honestly expect?
If you voted for that, you're an effing moron.

I don't live in Misery. Even if I did vote, it would have been a resounding no.

I moved away from KC in 2000 so I've not kept up with the day-to-day drama at Arrowhead. Last I heard they were considering a retractable roof to lure the Super Bowl. What happened to that and what the heck is the purpose of this proposed thing??
-
i'm not surprised at this, Arrowhead folks cant even get the POS scoreboard that's supposed to show other game scores working correct.
who the living crap is going to pay for seats in the Horizon level? the guy that owns an electron microscope binocular?
i live in the part of KC most affected by this tax and voted no. :curse:

They never promised new seating or aisles. They specifically stated they weren't changing the bowl of the stadium much like they didn't touch Solider field and Lambeau. I'm not sold on the design, I specifically don't like the stilt looking Horizon level but this is exactly what was talked about during the vote.

Those are the same people in each picture. There's the bald dude and the fat dude. Hey! I'd fit right in!

You all need a history lesson in historical stadium architecture.
1. When they designed it back in the late 60's Arrowhead was absolutely space age. So far ahead of the curve it was like racing Model T's next to Ferraris.
2. The lower seating bowl of Arrowhead was designed at an angle and with a seating density that cannot be duplicated today due to code. This allows Arrowhead to have a much higher percentage of the crowd closer to the action than newer stadiums with a design concept similar to new stadiums.
3. Arrowhead was never meant to be a capstone, archway, "Hale Library" facility . . . ever. This design is in tune with the spirit of the original design.

Jackson County voters are simply retarded, to say the least. Let's see... add a rolling roof to Arrowhead and Kauffman, and bring to town a Final Four, MLB All-Star game, and a Super Bowl. Hmmmm.... that might have brought in some additional revenue. Instead, we're left with a renovation plan that will basically add some new bathrooms and more shopping areas. Way to go Jackson County taxpayers!

The Horizon Level is mainly for the press and coaches.
Reading and Understanding is always worth the effort.

You are an idiot. Please don't proliferate. Ever. Keep the hundreds of thousands you're going to be making each year working for JP Marlin and head to Canada. :flush:

Amazing. The "new" Arrowhead looks surprisingly similar to the "old" Arrowhead. At least there will be more legal places for the drunken redneck Jack-County fanbase to purchase beer and urinate.

You speak to Jackson County voters like you aren't a part of that group but then "we're left with a renovation plan"...either you have ownership into the stadiums as a JaCo voter or you don't.
The rolling roof might have been the dumbest thing I've ever seen. The All-Star game is already coming w/o a roof. Is one Super Bowl and one Final Four worth that idiotic roof? The voters decided it wasn't...if the super bowl ever would have came...which has a huge question (if you happened to pay attention which obviously you didn't)
Arrowhead is still a top of the league NFL stadium....it needed infrastructure upgrades.....wow, just watching the Chiefs game on DVR, the ESPN guys just said it was one of the best in the NFL....amazing. As a JaCo voter, I'm glad the improvements were approved....it's a great stadium....I wouldn't have hated the roof being approved but it was a lot of extra cash for a pretty small reward.

kcpower i think you are a bit off base. first, i have been out of town and out of contact for a few months so forgive me if something major has changed. Listening to KK on 810 he had a lot of good info. It sounded like the bond that went to jackson county was just a big scam for the chiefs. they were getting a crap ton of money off the intrest from the city from all the bond money. all they had to do was "complete" the "renovations" by a certin time to keep a lot of paper. This plan looks like a quick, easy way to "complete" the plan. they should have been doing these renovations from bond vote day +1, but they have been sitting on it for no real good reason.

I laugh when I hear everybody run around and say that KC couldve built two new stadiums for what they're paying for the renovation. Sure they could have built two new stadiums . . . two new cookie cutter stadiums. I see some folks in a certain fanbase discussing this subject using the Phoenix Cardinals stadium as an example. It cost $450 million and is pretty much state of the art (albeit Jerry Jones is changing that definition) . . . but here's the deal, it seats 15,000 less than Arrowhead. To build a comparable stadium amenities wise as the new Phoenix stadium, matching Arrowhead's seating capacity, you're looking at $580 million easy. Toss in a new non cookie cutter baseball park, and you're looking at $1 billion. To get two new paradigm shifting facilities like the Harry Truman Sports Complex was, you're looking at well over $1 billion.
Plus, the "throw back" era in new sports facilities is starting to run its course. A bunch of these major league ballparks are starting to look the same . . . the same capstone, brick, stonework facade with the windows and the same iron work. I don't want to see a new Soldier Field abomination, but I still have to laugh at people who thought they were going to get Lambeau Field (post renovation) out of the "new" Arrowhead.

I"m not sure where my comments had anything to do with how the timing is being handled??? So not sure where you get that I'm off base.
Consider the source when it comes to KK...he likes to get everybody wound up. I'm sure there is some truth to what he is talking about relating to this but there is no doubt he's blowing it out of proportion....but again, my comments had nothing to do with the timing of the renovations...simply the ignorance of BMW's assertions.
This was the plan from the beginning.....even before the vote.

The Royals renovations piss me off a lot more than these.

it just seems like you are satisfied with the current renovations. How long have they had the money? How many renovations have really started? They are going to cut back even more inorder to make everything fit within the time frame.
oh and yes KK does like to get people going, but those teabags neal and marty were spinning the same story.

satisfied? Look at my first post. I specifically stated I wasn't sold on the design. the mechanics of when the Chiefs have the money and/or interest I'm not familiar with. Cut back? What have they cut back? time frame? what time frame?
This is exactly what Kietzman does....you listened for 30 minutes and now have knowledge of the entire situation? It's not all KK makes it out to be....don't try and give his commentary as fact.
I find it hilarious those without a vested interest decide they could do it better and everybody voting for it was an idiot or the whole thing is being done incorrectly. It's very easy to pass judgment from the outside.
