Title: Jurassic Park IV confirmed

Bloody-Disgusting learned this weekend that Universal Pictures has officially begun casting for Jurassic Park IV, which will film in Kauai, Hawaii later this year! Laura Dern confirmed her return to the franchise as Dr. Ellie Sattler here as Sam Neill will NOT return. We're told that the film is about the government who has trained dinosaurs to carry weapons and use them for battle purposes. Based on the I can now safely declare that this franchise has entered 'ridiculous sequel mode'. Watch for more news soon.

Jurrassic Park 3 was a disaster - I can only imagine how terrible the 4th one will be...

The more they deviated from the original storyline, the worse the story got.  JPI was pretty good.  JPII had major differences between it and the book.  It was ok.  JPIII was a complete make-up of a script, which put the movie somewhere between "abortion" and "A nite in the sack with Rosie O'Donnell."  I will have no desire to see JPIV in the theater, but since I like B-grade movies, I will probably watch it once it hits TV.

JP1 was pretty good, but I wish they'd gone with the book ending and killed off almost all of the people instead of the "happy" ending.

are you guys kidding me? how often do we get a major blockbuster movie that will have millions of dollars spent on it to equip high dollar fake dinosaurs with even more high dollar pyro technics. this is  the coolest thing ever in the history of movies. we are privledged enough to get to watch a movie where freaking dinosaurs have freaking guns. this is way better than zombies or robots. this supercedes everything. dinosaurs with freaking guns. i think i need a new pair of pants after reading this.

Ummmm, that already happened when some girl used gymnastics to fight velociraptors. I can't remember which movie that was in because they were both (2 & 3) incredibly craptastic.
