I lived in Boulder, CO for the past 8 months. Comcast and Qwest were competition, so rates were low. I got high speed cable internet, all HD channels, HD DVR, Everything but the HBO's and Cinemax's.... all for $62/mo. I return back to Cox Country and I put up with crapty internet and have to pay $100 for that and standard cable.
I need an alternative. I don't care if it's some local company from Wamego. I don't want any more money going to monopoly loving bastards.

It was pretty :ku: with a lot of :fiesta: but a lot of  to make up for it.

the bouldarians prolly made fun of you.

I feel you. KC has Time Warner, Everest, and Comcast all competing. ALL THREE offer better service than Cox. And ALL THREE are significantly cheaper than Cox.
It's sad. I wish there was some competition in Manhattan.

Only because I didn't drive an Audi or Subaru, or because I didn't give any of the bums my money.

You could live in redbud :) they have a great cable package (no HD though) for like 32 dollars. Of course, I still took it up the ass from cox because I needed 5meg, rather than the 1 or 2 meg that redbud has for cable internet. That still cost me 45/mo because cox fux you if you don't have their cable package too.

Not true, strictly speaking. Each has carved out a little slice of monopoly paradise for themselves based on the actual cities. Eg., If you're in Olathe, you're getting Comcast. I believe Overland Park is Time Warner.

Some apartments allow dishes. Did you ask?

Yup. First week I lived here (three or so years ago). I may need to sweet talk her, though.

All this Cox talk makes me giggle like a little school girl
