When in doubt fatty go with one of the Snyder warm-up songs. Seriously, it would go perfect with one of your YT videos.

Inspirational & borderline corny.

or go swimming at pillsbury. some of us have lives outside of this board on the weekend. rather than sit at a desk during our work shifts. however if you want something

Appleseed Cast - Marigold and Patchwork

Chessie - Daylight

Cursive - Staying Alive

Daedelus (featuring Prefuse 73) - Welcome Home

The Dead Texan - Struggle

Dj Shadow - Building With a Grain of

Dj Shadow - Giving up the Ghost

Do Make Say Think - Herstory of Glory

Field Music - In Context (if you haven't seen the music video for this song it is incredible, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBqx9Tpmj-U (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBqx9Tpmj-U))

Four Tet- My Angel Rocks Back and Forth

Massive Attack - Angel

Gregor Samsa - Young and Old

M83 - there really is no suggestion as far as songs here, i would love you forever if you did a video using him as a soundtrack, some of my favorite tracks include: Run Into Flowers, Cyborg, Gone, Don't Save us from the Flames, Fields Shorelines and Hunters, Asterick, I Guess I'm Floating

Mars Volta - Miranda that Ghost Just isn't Home Anymore (you would have to cut it considerably to actually use the part where he sings)

Maserati - 12 16

Mogwai - Helps Both Ways

Mogwai - We're No Here

Mogwai - Ex Cowboy

Mogwai - Ratts of the Capital

Mogwai - Glasgow Mega Snake (i would crap my pants if you could make a video to keep up with the intensity of this song)

Red Sparrows - Alone and Aware, The Landscape Was Transformed in Front of Our Eyes

This Great October - In love in the Eighties II

This Great October - Twilight Assembly

the ones bolded are ones that i think are more along the lines of what you are looking for. i tried to stay away from the stuff thats already been used.

but if you want something that has already been used any thing by the band "Explosions in the Sky." They are the ones featured on the Friday Night Lights soundtrack. I wasn't exactly sure of what you meant by gay and emotional so i gave you a whole variation of songs. lots of them have slow beginnings or whatever and build up, while some start of pretty hard and just go from there. there is a decent mix. if you really want to do a happy video i would love for you to do a video using

The Beach Boys - Wouldn't it Be Nice

that would be awesome.

Take a Picture-Filter
Hold On-Jonas Brothers
Little Wonders-Rob Thomas
Ray of Light-Madonna
Take Me As I Am-Seven Wiser

Those are all serious ideas IMHO. The madonna one has a good rhythm

yes. i have a disk of theirs  from friday night lights..where they are made for shorter scenes...

they would be beautiful. 2-4 min songs.

they have 4 albums, so yeah they have a few decent ones. here are a few..

Have You Passed Through This Night - You would have to cut the song in half pretty much, because the first half of it has some words spoken over it and it doesn't really progress at all. but when the drums drop this song would be huge.

With Tired Eyes, Tired Minds, Tired Souls, We Slept - this song is like 10 minutes long, but could be edited to be sweet

i gotta go now, but i'll be back later tonight to post more.

Godspeed! You Black Emperor - East Hastings (this is the song that was used for the majority of 28 days later... there are better ones by the same band but way long.)

Good stuff.
