It sounds as if Jordan Bedore is OK at center, while Nick Stringer (right tackle) and Gerard Spexarth (right guard) have the inside track. Newcomer Alesana Alesana looks like a good bet at left tackle. Logan Robinson will get a shot at left guard.

If only Haff were still around...
-
Who's pushing Logan, and will they please push harder!
-
Be nice to still have McIntosh, Johnson, Eby, Neujahr, Barnett, et. al. around too!

According to today's KC Star.....
Trevor Viers may have the inside track at Center. Viers, a converted defensive end, is trying to beat out junior Jordan Bedore.

I love this. Competition!! We all know that Bedore is our best O-Linemen but with Viers pushing for the starting center position, Trevor has got to be a stud too.
Bedore would be able to play guard if Viers beats him out at center, than you put the best O-Linemen somewhere along the OL.
Competition at a position where you have an experience/very good player is great news. That means we atleast have some depth along the OL. :woohoo:

No mention of Ben Liu or the juco guard.
Hmmm.

Why hmmm? I and many others have said you simply are not realistic if you think a juco o lineman is going to come into camp without spring ball and make a huge impact. If he was able to be slotted between two proven studs at center and tackle, then maybe his lack of understanding the playbook can be sacrificed some should the guy be a physical big timer. We have no proven studs at any spot on the o line (some might emerge over the season) but as of now there is a bunch of hoping going on rather than proven commodities.

talked to someone who knows stuff . . . this is all barring injury and other disaster. . . as of last week . . . public practice is about awarding guys who work off their asses. However, behind the scenes . . .
top OL is Jordan Bedore.
starting tackles projected as Alesana and Stringer. backup OT is Meyer
top guards are Robinson and Meyer with a lot of competition pushing them, so someone else could step up.
Viers is green but good -- if they decide to start him at center, Bedore slides to guard. They like the experience of the backup guards with Handy, Rooker, Spex, and Unruh. The guys are working hard -- good group with the lunchpail mentality.
