The Royals have 50 wins after 113 games. Lets compare this to the amount of time it has taken them in recent years:

2002 - 123 games
2003 - 91 games
2004 - 138 games
2005 - 149 games
2006 - 136 games

So, except for the chemically enhanced season of 2003, this is clearly the best the Royals have been in a LONG, LONG, LONG time!

Kansas City picked up its 51st victory on Saturday. A year ago, the Royals didn’t win their 51st game until Sept. 3.
