Whoever has passport go and watch the media day player interviews.
"Oh yeah the first game will be tough. We'll be on the road and playing an ACC team."
-Rob Jackson
Not even our players give Auburn respect. Another reason could be that he's mad about the racist AU fans.
I LOVE IT! :beerchug:

What is the biggest strength and weakness of your club coming into this year? Auburn's strength is going to be their defensive speed. Our defense is fast...very fast. Also, we have a third year starter at QB. He had a down year last year but has very good potential to have a great year. Weakness coming in to the season is our offensive line. We replace 4 starters on the offensive line plus our starting running back. Brad Lester, the starter this year, got quite a bit of playing time though last year. All in all, I think the season depends on how the o-line gels. If the play well and give Cox time, I think we can be very good. If not, I think it could be a long year.

Take what you said about your team, and apply it to ours. It fits exactly.

What is the biggest strength and weakness of your club coming into this year?
strengths = special teams, secondary, pass rush, RB, talent at starting QB, versatility in receiving corps
weaknesses = OT, proven depth on DL, and I'll say overall team toughness until our kids prove otherwise.

ooooh...kickers...I forgot about those pansies... :D
We lost all of ours last year and that worries the hell out of me. Punting, kick-offs and field goals should all be interesting this year. I think walk-ons are competing for all of those positions.

Oh whoops, I just got in the zone typing "out of JUCO". And Baldwin probably does start over McKinney, it just seems like the coaches are in love with him. If it were up to me though, I'd put Garvin up there. I love him.
-
Baldwin is solid. He just is coming off of an injury, that's all.
-
Cox is losing 4 starting OL, his top RB and his top WR.
And Cox did worse his JR year than his SO year.

Thanks for the update  You covered WAY more than I covered in my post! I hope the KSU coaching staff does not have the inside information like you were able to gather. Keep up the good work!!
Oh, and BTW, our second string RB, Brad Lester, only touched the ball 104 times last year but had 523 yards. That is 4.9 yards per carry. He had 9 TD's also. The third string RB, Ben Tate, got 54 touches with 400 yards averaging 7.3 yards per carry. We also have a guy that should see significant time this year in the "B" slot, a mix between a wide reciever and RB, by the name of Mario Fannin that has really impressed the coaches this past year. Look for some reverses and misdirections from him.
At the wide reciever postion...well...you're right, you got me there....nothing returning but hopefully some of our youngsters can step up!
-
this will be an interesting game. prince coaches football like it's madden 08 and any time a qb drops back to pass, they will probably end up looking at the clouds. our rb's are good, but i don't look for them to make much headway. hopefully k-states creativity on special teams will make up for their lack of offense (and possibly a couple frreman picks).
look for a low scoring (boring) game highlited by big plays on special teams.
and for me to be amazingly drunk...

Why were they the #2 and #3 RBs?
Lester racked up big production against bad teams. WSU, MSU, Tulane and Buffalo got him the overwhelming majority of his TDs, and all were blow out wins.
He only scored 2 TDs that weren't in blow out games, and one of those came in a blowout loss.
And Tate? All but 29 of his yards came against Buffalo, Tulane and Arkansas St. Outside of those games he averaged 2.9 YPC. Stunning.
And they too lose 4 starting OL.
Heck, our True Freshman RB got half his TDs and almost half his yards (toss in a passing TD to boot) against OSU, MU and UT...three bowl teams that averaged over 8 wins between them.
