Pittcat what is that avatar from?

Also there are a ton of issues in that top ten list that I will believe when I see that those things have actualy improved. I think that we will have a great year, but still in wait'n'see mode here.

The o-line has the potential to solidify this year.  The pieces to the puzzle are there, they just need to be put together.  Will it happen??  Wait and see-QFT

And I got the avatar off of photobucket.

It really hurts to be called a sock.  But I'll get over it.  When you're right so often, as I am, you learn to understand other peoples insecurities.  You guys will be okay, once you see my predicitions come to pass.

I may be cynical but Azcat is just unpleasant and angry.  Maybe he's a closet nubbie?

I will take NorthChamps07 as my sock. Only because my feet are getting cold, and I have a nasty hangnail in which he could soften the blows every time I take a step.

WWB, it's great to be accepted into the Cat family.  I was beginning to wonder how long the rejection would last.  Thank you for bringing it to an end!  :woohoo:

Sure, we *used* to be good.  If mjrod wasn't in the habit of losing his message board databases every 18 months like clockwork you'd even be able to verify that.

I like Ron Prince, he's a fantastic representative for the university.  Nothing he's done smacks of being too conservative, a common mistake among young professionals.  There's a tendency for folks who achieve some success in their fields relatively early on, as Ron has, to become hyper-conservative rather than continuing to do what got them there.  Nothing RP has done is hyper or even moderately conservative.  It's fun to watch him work.

Promoting Tibesar to DC was a stroke of genius.  He's a lights-out coach and the true rising star of our staff.  I'll be very surprised if the defense isn't significantly improved this season.

The staff has done a nice job of putting the "student" back in "student-athlete".  I doubt there're as many kids on the field these days who require wristbands with "right" and "left" written on them.  No matter how the team performs on the field it's nice to see more quality kids coming into the program.

It seems that, though I can't verify it, we've recruited Kansas harder than in the past and also that RP & co. are making an effort to rebuild connections with Kansas jucos that may have soured in the past.  Like it or not KSU will continue to be located in Kansas, the program might as well make the most of it.

My concern lies in the fact that last year's squad typically lost in blowouts and typically eked out the wins they got.  The season had a "done with mirrors" feel to it that I just can't shake.  I hope I'm wrong but I'm not enamored of our recruiting and I think the skid begins this year.

See, now that makes sense.  I see your point of view, I don't agree with it, but I see it.  Before I thought you were just some guy who was pissed at the world because he had a tiny penis, and took out his aggression on KSU football.

I'm an early adopter.  I was on the RP bandwagon early (and suggested Huggins as the hoops replacement long before there was a vacancy) but honestly what I saw from the football team on the field last year was enough for me to hop off the bandwagon before the rush.  You'll get there, you're just slow.

Could you put out something soft around the bandwagon?  I think there will be a lot of people needing a soft place to land around Sept. 1st and Sept 29th. If things go too badly the wagon may go up in flames around Oct 6th.  Wouldn't want to see too many of our fellow cat fans get hurt in the rush.

I was on the Prince wagon as well much of that first year and through Boss/evridge gate.

The departure of a bunch of players didn't bother me at all. It's Prince's team, if he wants to run some guys off that's fine.  It's the performance on the field last year the pushed me off the bandwagon.  Sure the W/L record wasn't that bad but the quality of play was ... troubling ... at best.

I don't expect many bandwagon jumpers 9/1, we could lose by 40 and give up 600 yards of offense and the  :koolaid: crowd would say, "Awww gee whiz, cut RP a little slack.  That was an SEC team on their turf not the northeastern southwest school for blind nuns like Snyder always kicked off with."  Warm up the excuses.   :users:

Couldnt have said it any better myself. RP is a great guy, and seems to stand for the right things. But the level of football played last year wasnt all that great. I'll give him a few years and a chance to get his guys in the program, but the optimism I usually feel leading up to the season just isnt there this yr...
