Was watching the 2000 NU game last night and they showed some highlights of OU pulling out the 35-32 victory over A&M. They also showed A&M's RB Jamaar Tombs with a nice couple of runs. I know this guy gave our D fits in College Station, but where is he now? I remember him leaving for the NFL after the 2000 season, his junior year. What happened to him since then and was he even drafted?

He got fat between college and the draft, so the NFL took a big time pass on him.
I think he's till in the Arena league.

He was a big boy, guess he got a little too big.
Thanks guys.

Still doesn't make a lot of sense, Joe Hall even got invited to camps for a few years. And Toombs was MUCH better than Hall.
Makes me wonder if his coaches put out a poison pill about his work ethic to go along with his largess.

Jamaar had very quick feet, so did Joe Hall, but not as quick. Tombs was alot faster than Joe also. I thought he was made to be an NFL RB. Guess it just wasn't in the cards for him. Why?

He was probably made to add 20+ lbs and be a defensive lineman with those quick feet and that size. Unfortunately, neither he nor Hall wanted to wrestle inside and the coaches didn't move them inside so, career over.

Joe Hall was the man. He was one of my favorite players.

I think at some point between his days at aTm and the NFL, he got busted with a trunkload of weed. I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure it was him.
Then, he coached HS football in Texas for a couple of seasons, and has recently been playing arena ball if I remember correctly.

Sounds like Terry Pierce's NFL career, minus the weed.
Seriously though, TP should've stayed for his senior season. TNT's in 2003.
