are playing tonight? Old Stan is doing the TV tonight with Mark Ewing from Topeka.
It sounded like they copied our lead in to the National Anthem.
-
I'm doing the game here at KMAN so I have a roster in front of me. Here's who we got....
EAST TEAM
- Dee Bell
- Kaleb Drinkgern (Starter)
WEST TEAM
- Jeremy Reed (Starter)
-
D. Bell is no leon patton.
-
The WIBW guys were just talking about Bell after a run for a few yards....
"I asked the East coach Blake Pierce during the week about Dee Bell, trying to figure out what kind of back he is. I said, "Is he like a Barry Sanders guy or what?". Pierce said he didn't think he was shifty enough to be considered with guys like Sanders, but he sure is a burst of pure speed when you give him the ball."
-
The star of the game so far has been Andy Jonas from Bishop Carroll. The commentators keep saying he'll be at KSU this fall on the field for Ron Prince. Anybody know about this guy??? If he's a walk on, preferred or not, he looks like he could be a good one.
-
Is Jeremy Reed putting on weight to be a o-lineman?
-
Is this the 1-2 star recruit bowl?
-
Overall, I think it's really disappointing that only 3 of the Rivals.com Kansas Top 20 players are in action @ the Shrine. Not really sure if everybody else denied invites or if the Shriners look more at guys from little schools to give them some pub. Either way, it's become obvious over the past few years that if you wanna see a high school all star game with the big names- head to KC for the Kansas vs. Missouri showdown.
-
Dee Bell = wingback. Jeremy Reed = Joe Hall. Kaleb Drinkgern = ?

The top Nebraska players--like Crick and Paul--declined invitations to the Shrine Bowl too. Must be a trend.

Bell is utterly....umm..err...ineffecive.
-
Im sure most of the players going to a "football" school are told not to participate. Fall Camp is just about to start. Why risk an injury?
-
Dee Bell = wingback midget waterboy. Jeremy Reed = Joe Hall (except slower and with less power) . Kaleb Drinkgern = ?
-
okay, but what about Reed = Hall? not in terms of running ability (Reed has none), just in terms of weight ballooning potential.
-
I agree on the weight ballooning potential. It'll look funnier on Reed because he's like 3 inches smaller. He's like the love child between Rock Cartwright and Joe Hall.
-
Christ. I thought Reed was suppose to be good.
JONAS!
-
Also, Drinkgern will fit nicely in our o-line as he got beat quite a bit (by Jonas, future KSU stud walk on).

Actually I believe since they are already enrolled in school (summer), they would not be allowed to participate.

Is Jonas white, from a farm, and does he have a skinhead haircut?
If so . . .
