Title: Scott Elarton
Post by: Dan Rydell on July 24, 2007, 07:24:34 PM
Guy might as well suffer a career-ending injury, because it's over.  I hope the Royals cut him tomorrow.

No Royals fan had any doubt that we were going to get owned last night with Elarton on the mound. None. The loudest applause of the night was to Buddy Bell coming out of the dugout to yank him in the 2nd.

Elarton is a heck of a prospect, you guys show you know nothing about baseball by saying he needs to be cut.  He just needs a little help keeping his ball low in the strike zone.

If they knew anything about baseball, would they be Royals fans?

LOL @ the Cubs fan making fun of Royals fans. Yeah, let's bring a goat onto the field and maybe we'll win the division!

LOL @ the KSU fan making fun of anyone. Yeah, let's throw chickens onto the court and maybe we'll beat the Jayhawks!

You're right.  What kind of idiot fanbase would think to bring live animals into a sports venue?

I don't think the chickens are thrown for the purpose of reversing curses. Serious, you guys parade a &@#%ing goat around Wrigley when you need to break that stupid "curse." I have you beat, kono.

He's right. Blowing up baseballs, dancing around black cats and playing with goats isn't going to win the Cubs a World Series. But it is fun, and so is picking on that Steve Bartman character: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7u_IotAchqo

Curses are for children.  The goat and the chickens serve the exact same purpose:  Feeding some retard's hunger for attention, while prompting fellow fans to regret their association.

By the way, this man-crush of yours is simultaneously horrifying and hilarious.

Kono,

If the Cubs don't win it by 2008 at the 100-year mark, what will happen to the Cubs? I have a feeling it's going to be something like Y2K.

They'll win one pretty quickly if they'll let Cuban buy them.

There are some who believe that the Mayan calendar's endpoint in 2012 portends the end of humanity, or of time itself.  We may not last that long.  The lack of a hundreds digit on the Eamus Catuli calendar (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/9/93/Cubs.jpg) indicates a similar fate, only much sooner.  Go Cubs.  Save us all.

Not a chance. Cuban and Piniella would get in a heated argument, forcing Piniella to leave the Cubs. Then Piniella would sign on with the Nationals, while Cuban's Cubs take down the best record in the NL. Piniella's Nats meet up with the Cubs in the NLDS, and they pull off the sweep. Then Cuban complains, saying Piniella knew the Cubs' signs and that he was too familiar with the team's personnel. Then the lawsuit comes.

Please move your OT posts to a thread not discussing Scott Elarton Soon To Be All-Star 25 game winner ex-Royal.
Preferably the KatKid thread.

Signed,

Mike MacDougal and Andrew Sisco

And that sure worked pretty well.  Let's try it again.

Barry Bonds:  guy might as well give up the home run chase, because it's over.  I hope he pulls his groin tomorrow.

Sisco and McDougal haven't been away from KC long enough for the stink to blow off.  Sisco is only 24.  It took Durbin a couple years to shake off KC, give the process time.

Durbin is in the bullpen.  He was a 5th starter until one of their regulars came back.

He was 7-3 in 14 starts this year.

That makes him a legit starter for one of the best teams in baseball.

And Storm Davis won 20 games for the powerhouse (roids) A's of the early 90s....
