Everything I want to hear from a qb!

sounds like a pretty bright kid.

He's taking calc, so that means he is better at math than I am.

Ya, that does sound like it sucks. I'm an Ag Ed major, so I only have to take college algebra and basic statistics.

The article said that Freeman was responsible for six turnovers.

I call BS.

I'd like to lay a little blame on the offensive line for not giving him even a second against ku's obvious blitzing that we had no answer for.

Maybe give the Rons a little while you are at it.

Don't worry Pete, JF will own the skers for the next 2 or 3 years.  In fact, I think he should stick around that 4th year just to outlast your head coach!  :nahnah:

Obviously Josh threw too many int's last season but how many can be contributed to tipped balls by his own receiver or possibly even a receiver not running a more precise route?  Or even the OL when he got bumped while throwing?

I'm not saying Freeman shouldn't shoulder a lot of responsibility but the offense was a cluster &@#% a lot of times last year and not all of it was Josh's fault.

Is anybody aware he completed about 72% of his passes during a three game stretch?

"who also took summer school classes in calculus and macroeconomics"

holy crap.

"Freeman does list three goals: fewer turnovers, a higher scoring percentage in the Red Zone, and a higher third-down productivity."

further illustrating Freeman's high FBIQ

"Is anybody aware he completed about 72% of his passes during a three game stretch?"

That would be an amazing stat even if those three games were Montana State, Northwestern State and Missouri State but it was Colorado, Iowa State, and Texas. 22 for 26 against Colorado is incredible.

"your head coach?"  WTF? I'm no "sker" fan.

I am a KSU fan, so unfortunately I am stuck with the Rons, just like you.  Unfortunately for you, you'll have to change your login name this December or it will be YOU who gets confused for a fan of another school.

So believing that the cats will shock the north this year makes you a sock! And if you're a fan, pete, why do you have such a strong dislike of "your Coach"?

Maybe it's just me, but I think that if God was quarterbacking a team, he'd probably be able to beat Baylor.

Oh, and also...if God was to decide to play college football, he'd be unlikely to choose to do so in "homosexual purple."

Just FYI.

I guess I don't dislike the Rons THAT much.  Maybe I have been too harsh.

However, the only evidence we have of any coaching quality was the win over Texas. Then the Rons went on to end last season like they started the season, which is to say pathetic.

Plus, aside from showing that they could make Lamark Brown and Ron Freeman like them, the Rons haven't proven anything in recruiting.  A player-a-year won't pay the bills.  Josh Moore was a nice find, but you can't show me a team in the Big 12 that doesn't luck-sack into a kid like that every year.... for example, ku's been doing it pretty consistently the last 4-5 years.

Oh, and the scheduling has been both arrogant and ignorant...a deadly combination.  We may be improved this year and NOT make a bowl...which in the world of public perception is bad news.

LOL, will you let go of the hope already? He'll never be our coach again.  :blank:

Maybe Ron Prince talked to him in a "thugged out" way because he is black and he talked to his friend like he was Mr. Rogers..?

That would be accurate...but not the true intent....

"Rons" is the plural form of Ron and his offensive (double entendre intended) brain trust of McCarty and Franklin.  Collectively the "Hot Rons."

^Way too obscure.

Why wasn't Raheem one of the Rons?  Is Tibesar a Ron?

???

^Way too obscure.

This from the guy with the "A Rusty...(what the hell is that gem stone and what does it mean behind Rusty)" guy?

Why wasn't Raheem one of the Rons?  Is Tibesar a Ron?
???

OK, maybe it is a bit obscure...but I still choose to exclude Tibesar because he obviously knows what he is doing, and has proved it with our ST and at the D2 level as well...two data points in a row equal a trend.  Raheem would be in there if he were around.  WAY too confusing to lump him in there at this point.

Either way, I am going to ride it out with the "Rons" moniker for a while.  If we are 3-2 after ku, I'll switch it out to something more complementary.
