Amazing.  As mentioned, player models are slightly off, but it's almost there.  Really smooth.  Downsides are no clear visors and LaMark Brown is not in the game. :curse:

Hogan is though.

Now before I pick it up after work, you must tell me if the announcing is different.

Also, are the menus smoother than the demo? Because the demo was jittery as balls.

The announcing isn't different, sorry. 5th year of the same crap that Corso, Herbstreet, & Nessler say.

Alot smoother BTW. And they have the FREAK!!!!!!  :lick:

Notes:

Leon is a migit again, but I changed that. They have Moore as SS.  Josh Moore has 96 speed.  Seems like every defensive player has terrible tackling rating. Changed it. I've already gone the roster and added the names and changed the equipment and their appearance. Also, for anyone else who has the game now. Doesn't look Balkcom look weird at the starting DT with no gloves and weird ass facemask??? The game is way better than last year in every possible way IMO. And I got mine this morning at Wal-Mart, like 3 were left.

There's a few added phrases but for the most part the commentary is the same.  The reason the tackling rating is lower this year is b/c of the added gang tackling.  Look for little details like RB's bouncing off of their own lineman instead of running in place like last year's game.  Ya, our jersey color is a little weird but I got over it.  Online play is already ten times better.  I don't feel like I'm about to be disconnected after every play like last year.

If you want the rosters, I would recommend http://www.psxsports.com (http://www.psxsports.com).  The guy does a very good job and it's worth the wait.  He got the game on Thursday and it usually takes him about 7 days of nonstop editing to get all 119 teams done.  I expect to have the rosters early next week.  Until then, if anyone wants to play online pm me with your gamertag.

I assume we can't play online cross-platform, so you are going to have to tell me what console you got the game for :)

I'm dr00d on ps2 ( I think)

picked up the game over lunch, haven't had time to play it yet though....damn work.

I'm leaving work at 4, to run to the "post office" before the rush.

I prefer the NCAA control layout on the PS2 more, but it just looks so good in HD on my 360.

I'm so glad I saved $250 considering the graphics on the 360 are the EXACT SAME as the PS3 (smoother actually).  Two of my roommates threw down $500 for PS3s.

Supposedly it has better (easier) online play. Do you have Xbox Live, yet?

My menus are all choppy! There's also a lag with my announcers. Will this resolve itself after my first run through?  :ohno:

Koug- I noticed the menus are less choppy, but still laggy in certain areas- especially when loading major things (recruiting board for example).

Overall, I'm impressed.

My biggest issues-

Since when do we have jerseys made of porcelain? Those babies are shiny.

FUMBLES! They happen so much- even when covering the ball.

And when the other team fumbles, it's usually reviewed and reversed. WHY REVIEW IT? Just call it right in the first place.

Anyways, it's really tough to pass in this game. I really like that aspect. Bowling minigame in fun. Recruiting is amazing now. It's so indepth with pipelines, scheduling visits, etc.

Chico,

I just set up my Logitech Harmony... took 10 minutes.  Put down the headset and stop living your life through 10 remotes!   :D

Does anyone here have the rosters or plan on buying them?  I don't have a memory card for my 360 and it is about $40 to order one with the rosters on it.  We should arrange a purchase of the rosters/memory card and mail it around so everyone can upload them to the hard drive while only paying for it once.

I'd throw in $5.

You'll be able to download them for free.  They've got a workaround figured out.

In the meantime, here's a preliminary 90 team download of the rosters.  You'll need a transfer kit.  It's like $14.

That still leaves me needing to buy the transfer kit and memory card.  I think I may just order the memory card pre-loaded then I can worry about the transfer kit and download the next time I need to do this.

That's what I did. I'll just keep my Royals franchise in MLB 2K7 going until the card gets here.

The 17 different categories before you start a season are a snooze.  Sort of what they did last year, but a little more.  I wish you could just skip it and they would give you average marks for a subset of players that make it useful.

I guess if it didn't take a minute to load each drill, it would piss me off less...but I guess that's what I get for having ps2.
