Al Swearangen &@#%ing concurs.

And @#$% HBO for killing it.
-
Isn't Deadwood what happens to guys when they get older or drink way too much liquor?
-
I thought Season 1 was great, Season 2 was crap, and Season 3 was semi great, semi crap.
The Season 3 fight between Dan and Captain Turner was awesome television.

qfts. Just holy-@#%$ness all around.
I liked season 2, too.
Hearst is a mean &*$@!er. I'm in the middle of season 3 right now.

Very, very good. I'd say The Shield is on par.

Very, very good. I'd say The Shield is on par.
I've seen reruns, thought about picking it up on Netflix. They don't really seem as badass as Al Swearangen, though (the baddest mother &@#%er ever on TV.)
I'll probably finish up The Wire and Arrested Development first.

No, that just made him seem like a more "real (human)" badass - not some glossed over version of badassedness.

I'm going to disagree with your opinion of swearengen being a badass. I see him merely as the first guy in town that took control and hired a bunch of lackies to do what he wanted to keep his control. So, if you'd like to call that badass, OK then.
However, I'm going to stick with Bullock being the badass. When he walks, people clear the way and he doesn't take @#%$ from anyone, not even swearengen. My preception is obviously from bullock going upstairs and kicking swearengen's ass in the mud.
It's all bout the stache.
edit:damn that was an awful post. I went back and made some spelling and grammar changes.

Hmm. Good points. Dragging Hearst across town by the ear was certainly a badass move. No matter what he tries to tell himself (or make you think), he still answers to Al (<-supreme badass), always.

A Bluth Frozen Banana to you, sir.
I didn't realize you watched Arrested Development, Rusty. I take back almost everything bad I said about you.
On The Shield, it seems like an over-the-top cop drama unless you have context for each episode. You'll find the characters' motivation a little more plausible in that fashion.
What is The Wire like?

Arrested Development is the best show not on television. :crybaby:

way to stand strong KT.

I suppose I am as guilty as anyone else for that. I tried to watch the episodes whenever I could but they kept changing the timeslot and not advertising the change, I got fed up and gave up.

You said bad things about me?
The Wire is about the Baltimore drug trade. Definitely too many little cop-drama-corny moments (one or two an episode), but the overall storylines and characters are great.
1st season: GREAT
2nd season: Pretty good (goes away from main drug trade plot)
3rd season: ??? (I think it goes back to the local drugs)
-
the wire is good tv.
-
That description of the wire almost makes it sound tantamount the film Traffic.

Not really. It focuses on a much, much smaller portion of the drug trade, and has a ton more character and plot development than is possible in a 2 hour movie, (which is really what makes these shows so great).

we need ECN or someone to paste the chinamans head on the animated callahan throat slash.
