He didn't say much about any one team. About the North he said.....

1. Missouri
2. Nebraska
3. Kansas State

Kiper loves Freeman.

Not that stars matter of anything, but how weird that he also happens to be the highest ranked football recruit in K-State history.  Again, not that stars matter.

False. Bishop was much more touted than Freeman. Bishop didn't lose a single game in junior college, fwiw.

Highest ranked... at a 5.9????

Hmm... lets go over the 6.0's that are coming up in the 2007 class... Lamark Brown and Gary Chandler.

Not that stars matter or anything but actually Chris Boggas was our highest rated recruit ever, and that worked out swimmingly.

Kiper didn't watch the the last 3 times Freeman played in front of paying customers.

Are you sure?  I think he was around 12 or 13 among OL which would not put him in the rivals100.  But he was a 4 star and he did have an offer from Tejas.

He was in the Rivals 100, Top O-Lineman out of Texas, IIRC.   I also believe it was a big deal in Texas when KSU scored him.

Boggas lasted 2 years in the system, then dropped out, came back for one more year, and then failed out.   He was later arrested for breaking into Snyder's house and stole some valuable baseballs or something.

Daniel Davis was a five star RB out of JUCO.

Marvin Simmons was a highly recuited four star.

I don't recall if he was in the rivals100...I was thinking that he was not.

If going by rivals100 Chris Patterson becomes our highest rated prospect since he was #15 on that list in '04.

He didn't break in. He attended when Whitney threw a party.

I think we would have to count Patterson as how he was rated out of Juco, which was much lower.

I remember it because it was a big coup in Texas and the Tejans were unhappy.
