Good times. I was drunk virtually the entire time. I was drying out when I posted the other day. The week or so off was long overdue. Batteries are somewhat recharged, and I think I'm ready to get back to work.
If you've never been to Napa, go. Bring your woman. Get a limo for the day. You'll thank me later.

Sounds like a good time. You deserved this break, seems like you had a hectic last couple of months.

Spent most of our time in Napa, although I'm certain I'm more of a Sonoma type. Interesting note - the Pride winery is located in both counties, which is quite beneficial. In Napa, it's supposedly a huge hassle, perhaps even a fine, to drink a different brand of wine near another winery. In Sonoma, it's not an issue. They're more laidback in Sonoma, while the Napa folks seem a little uptight.
Best winery was Frank. Pride was very good, too. Summers was surprisingly good. But there was a lot of crap, too.
I'd go back tomorrow. It was that much fun. If you go, stay in the mountains - find a B&B. Don't stay in Napa. We were actually in St. Helena, which is about 10-15 minutes from Napa.

I drank three bottles of Boones Farm Apple, when it first came out, on a trip into the rockies one night and topped it off with some smoke. Needless to say I haven't had any desire to drink any of that vintage since :beerchug:

LOL @ Boone's Farm

I am definitely a micro-brew beer guy, but have been to Napa and Sonoma a few times with the wife. The best reds I found were at Silver Oak, Rombauer, and Joseph Phelps.
