I sold a car once.
My dad bought two cars on Ebay.
-
What percentage of the bought-it-new price did you get it at? Just curious.

around 45%

the most i've spent in ebay is < $200
i've been rediculously lucky on some of the crap i've purchased from ebay, i just try to check the profiles, etc of the sellers.
which one did you buy? the ibook g4?
-
yeah, the G4. this was a kick ass deal.
over 1 gb processor speed..and over a gb RAM.
'he' has 100% feedback (hugely important when purchasing electronic goods)
this guy is good. he did priority for no extra charge and offerend me a great warranty for only 10% of what i paid for.
clearly the most ive spent. i sell a lot too...but i buy random crap.

I bought an in-dash mp3 player for my old car for ~$250, and the item never delivered; the seller "disappeared" shortly after. To my surprise, though, PayPal actually investigated the matter and reimbursed me in full.

does it have the wifi card built in, and preloaded with the normal apple software? osx, safari, imovie?
paypal owns

the ibook G3= disaster.

yeah, built in wifi, and comes with OSX tiger. (10.4) safari, garage band..imovie, i dvd HD...etc...
i have all the updates, and programs at home...so i can just install them.
-
friend of mine sold a rare beatles album for $2300 and owed paypal over $60.
a lot of people do money orders to avoid this, but in turn lose business cause the trail of proof is less powerful.
-
so what'd you spend on the ibook? pm me if you feel uncomfortable sharing the amt here
-
i have begun learning imovie, very easy to use program.

less than $450 with shipping. WOW.
imovie is simple. all my generic pieces of crap come from that program.

it is pretty straight forward, i just am learning how to use a mac at the same time, along with not spending too much time w/ it, so it makes it a little longer of a learning curve.
which format should i be saving these things in? there's like HD, HD2, MP4, etc.
-
that's a really good price.

go up to the share menu at top and choose quicktime...it will save out (and compress) as a .mov.

Have you guys ever used Ulead VideoStudio? Current version is 10 I believe, what I have. If so, put me out of my misery and tell me how much it sucks compared to others you've used...
-
I only have used Adobe programs and Sony Vegas.
As for ebay, I bought a $350 video card on there. It was an Nvidia Quadro (which are normally really expensive) and I got it for about 1/3rd of the normal price.

I'm not sure that there is anything on the planet that's easier than iMovie to get started in movie editing and creation. Then when you're ready get yourself a dual G5 and upgrade to Final Cut. That application is the sh*t!

I've been known to not check the eBay user rating. Luckily, I've only been scammed on purchases under $20.
Good luck with the iBook.
-
thx,
he sent me a warranty after auction end...that made me feel so much better.
