Title: Text messaging ban
Post by: Iceberg on June 27, 2007, 09:36:37 PM
What do you think of the NCAA reconsidering the text messaging ban? I think text messaging is okay, as long as it has restrictions, which is what their looking at.

I didn't hear that they were reconsidering but that is definitely good for us. Smaller schools need every way possible to contact a kid. That ban would have done one more thing to help out the bigger universities.

It means NU coaches will have to read about changing commitments to KSU via MySpace.

Now, what they really need to do is get rid of that rule that keeps us from flying recruits into Manhattan. I see that as more of a disadvantage than the text ban. Waks, your right about small schools needing every chance they get to talk to recruits... but USC would get to text just as much as us.

I forgot to cite the source. Does this mean I get an XF?
