I do, and for those who have lost hope, I'm sorry. The Royals have good leadership in Moore and are playing better baseball this year than in the past three. The record may not completely show it, and the last four games may deligitimize my point, but KC has not had one of those 10-15 game slides that has plagued them in previous seasons. In fact, outside of the last four outings, KC has had a pretty good month ofJune. They are just really inconsistent. Since the beginning of May they are 21-28 (.428), in April they were 8-18 (.307). That's good progress IMO. Not bad for a team whose "Captain" is an often injured DH hitting .245, a leftfield "power" hitter in Emil Brown batting .242 with 2 homeruns. It is a wonder they have the record they do considering Tony Pena Jr. is second on the team of everyday players in batting average.
Moore is building a staff and getting alot of good innings out of that staff. It will be an uphill climb over the next couple of years, but if Ryan Shealy, Alex Gordon, Billy Butler and Ross Gload develop, this team could be competitive in time. I'm tired of being patient like many others, but baseball is a beautiful game and the Royals are a vital part of the Kansas City sports landscape.

Down from #21 to #24. I'm surprised that a 3-3 week can make you fall that far.
