I'm pretty sure all architecture firms that are not ran by 80 year old white wigged guys allow people to drink. My current firm has a very nice stock pile of Stella, Corona, and various wines. It nice.

Stella is completely unspectacular.

i agree. it didnt do anything for me.

Sorry man, that crap is just not comparable to any czech pilsner or lager. not many beers are, but i wasn't really impressed when i tried it as a domestic.

sure it's comparable, you just did. i don't understand what you mean that you tried it as a domestic, do you live in germany? pilsner urquel is overrated as hell. blasphamy i know.

when i was in germany a few weeks ago it was domestic. pilsner as an import is absolutely horrible. they have it on tap at tubby's and it is complete crap. i will say that about stella, it is about the same as an import as it is a domestic. a lot of beers loose so much as an import, i don't know what it is, but thats the way of the world i guess. there is just no beating an unfiltered pint of pilsner straight off the tap in one of the pilsner direct pubs in prague. just my opinion.
-
I don't know anything about it, but I heard a long time ago that imports have preservatives which greatly affect the taste.
-
could be, until i make to prague i will only be able to tell you my experience of drinking it from a bottle purchased in the us.*
*prague not high on list of places to go although i'm sure it is cool
when i think of imported pilsners, stella is at the top of the list. it's a short list, i don't really get too into pilsners.

that'd be news to me, all beer has natural preservatives in the form of hops that keep a beer fresh. didn't know they add additional crap into it.
-
We have beer friday's at work. If it isn't sponsored by the company (in many kegs), then someone usually brings a big cooler full of beer.
Nothing like tech support, drinking and driving(? the mouse ?) LOLLERCOASTER.

pilsner urquel is overrated as hell.
Agreed! That shock you? Urquell wasn't even in my top 5 beers while we were over there, so drinking it in Prague wouldn't improve its stock in your eyes.

what would your top 5 be then? besides the places like pivovarsky klub, or other micro-breweries over there. the big names, top 5.
1.Unfiltered Pilsner Urquell
2. Staropramen Lezak
3. Kozel Cerny
4. Gambrinus
5. Budvar or staropramen
-
Off the top of my head I'd rank the Czech beers like so:
1. Gambrinus
.
.
.
.
.
2. Velkopopovicky
3. Staropramen Granat
4. Staropramen
5. Mestan

i like gambrinus as a normal drinking beer. when i want something special or different i go with something else, but gambrinus is probably the perfect regular drink.
-
Gambrinus is far and away my favorite anytime beer.
Upon further review, however, I must move Granat up to the #2 spot and drop Velkopopovicky to #3

1. Prague is very cool and should be very high on your list of places to go.
2. Stella is a lager, so your pilsners list just got shorter.
