Red rover red rover send Kadji and Shipman on over! Yyyyyyyeeesssss..... :ksu:
-
Any links?
-
:hope:
Kadji and Shipman both plz.
I also wouldn't be opposed to one of their highly rated commits backing out and going somewhere that won't affect us so we can have the official GRCO2007 title back.
-
That would be pretty awesome if he left. I mean really what else does he have to prove at the college level??

Excellent point. He's already won b2b championships, and everyone in the state of florida loves him. (except florida state fans.)

He's going to ask for total control. It's just a question as to whether or not the Magic will give it to him. In other news.. We aren't in Woods' top 5. :frown:

Thank you sir, that is good stuff. With our Florida connections, that could open a lot of doors if he leaves.
-
Seriously what is a better job??
Kentucky
Orlando Magic
-
This should nearly guarantee us Kadji and Shipman.
-
If Donavan leaves than automatically we own Florida recruiting.
Art Alvarez
-
The Florida scout board needs to take a meltdown lesson. Seriously it is pathetic.
-
His big nit against coaching at Kentucky was that his family didn’t want to move. Hmmmmmm... Orlando and Gainesville are pretty close together aren’t they? This is looking interesting!
-
There is an article on ESPN's page saying that he is going to accept the offer.
-
Right now there are just a lot of "sources believe donovan will accept" and "donovan is believed to resigning at the moment" but I'm still waiting for the "Donovan officially to Orlando" article before I get excited.
-
Well, at first I was happy about this development. But now I’m sad. I’m sad because all the piece-o-crap Kentucky fans that I work with are happy. They are crowing about now being on top of the SEC. About how Florida’s #1 class will bolt. About how they will probably get Jai Lucas because he is buddies with Patrick Patterson. About how it will be hard for Florida to get a replacement this late in the game and that will cripple them for next year too.
You see, I really, really, really, hate Kentucky and their toothless, hillbilly fans...

Carebul, you're dalkin' do a bunt of toofless hillbilly fans (uneducated flunkies excluded, of course).
-
Well, you can always have something to prove. How about developing a dynasty? How about trying to turn Florida into a "traditional" basketball power school? How about being a legend around your town and being adored by everyone?
I suspect everyone is just saying he is gone because the offer is rumored at $36 mill over 6 yrs.....he's gone
-
5 year 28 million dollar deal is what i read.

I swore I heard 6 year 36 million on ESPN radio...
-
Bill Self to Florida.

Bill Self to Florida.
That would be funny...But I'm sure ku would be able to get better replacement if he left..
-
Question....how old were today's highschoolers when ku last won a championship?

Question....how old were today's highschoolers when ku last won a championship?
Well let's see, the seniors that just graduated would be born in 88-89 I think..so..

Next year's senior class was born in '89 and '90.
-
ESPN just said NBA officials have confirmed that Donovan has accepted the job with the Magic for 6 mil a year.
-
and a thread about donovan and the magic turn into a thread about when ku won their last national championship.
carry on guys. :ku:

I bet Turgeon would get a look in that scenario. Wouldn't that be interesting?

Where does Lucas go? Will he get released?

We do have a scholarship to fill...

VCU's Anthony Grant seems to be the early favorite to fill the vacancy. We'd sure be sweating right now if we had managed to nab him instead of "settling" for Martin, eh?

Great point Kono.

he's good enough to land the defending b2b national championship job but not good enough to even land an interview with us.
GREAT JOB TIM!

Grant was an assistant at Florida, for what, 8 years? He's "going home". And besides, KSU fans wouldn't be able to take having 2 black head coaches.
:peek:

:peek:
10 yrs. And he wasn't going home until now, last week he was the guy that took over for Capel at VCU looking for a better head job. We didn't even make a phone call.
-
You're probably right. I can't stand the one we have now.

Clearly, Weiser was wiser than his critics.

-
It doesn't matter. We've filled our last scholarship with Clemente.
-
Where does Lucas go? Will he get released?
I would expect Florida to hold onto their committments at least until they've made a hire and given him a chance to re-recruit. Beyond that, it's anybody's guess, but as far as I've been able to tell, KSU was never really in the running for Lucas. I hope he stays in the SEC.

But they had like a million five stars. Anyone looking for a home?
