Good, Crouch sucked at Nebraska, although he is probably smarter than Bishop. Bishop kicks ass.
-
I'm not surprised. Bishop was/is pure talent. Crouch was as good as his O-Line. I know...I know...he won the HT.
Best of luck to Michael
EMAW
-
I hope they have a very very small play book for Bishop. He's pretty much brain dead..

Nobody ever claimed he was smart.
Talented as hell though.
-
I just hope that Crouch sticks with the team and continues to work. Ever since college he has become a huge quitter when things don't go his way. He should have just stayed with the wide receiver position he was given. He was never going to be an NFL qb, so he should have been grateful they took him as a receiver and stuck with it. :violin:

He was a quitter before he ever played in Lincoln if you recall.

Actually I don't really recall anything while he was at Nebraska. What were you referring to?

After he joined the team in Lincoln he took his ball and went home complaining that the coaches were mean to him or something. He said he was going to coach with his highschool coach at Millard North. Well, his highschool coach told him he was a moron and sent his whiney ass back to Lincoln.
-
Scott Frost >> Crouch
Frost is the Jonathan Beasley of Nebraska. Way under appreciated while he was playing.

Sorry, I completely forgot about that. It was because they gave Bobby Newcombe the starting job. Crouch left and went home, and Solich went and begged him to come back.
I guess quitting has just always been a personality flaw of his.

QFT
He was very good. NU fans hated him, then loved him, then hated him and are probably indifferent now. I don't know what order I would rate Frazier, Crouch and Frost.

Newcombe >> Lord. Newcombe is the Matt Miller of Nebraska.

Frost was the best passer we had, I think, and he didn't make very many mistakes. Frazier and Crouch will always be remembered for their explosive running ability. Frazier was by far the best qb though.
It's too bad that our talent was bleeding out while Crouch was there. Personality aside, he was an amazing player to watch, and I wish 2001 had ended better for him on the field.

I wish his head would have come clean off......Aww, I'm just F'ing with you, I'm glad he lived.
EDIT: I think my order goes: Frost = Frazier > Crouch>>>>>>>>>>generic horrible QB>>>>>>>>>>>>>Newcombe>Lord.

What about you guys? How do you rank your qb's?
1) Bishop?
2) Roberson?
3) May?
-
Dickey
May
Miller
Grogan
Straw
or did you mean RB's that played QB?
-
Bishop
May
Roberson
In terms of the offense we ran during those QB's eras I'd rank them as follows:
May's offense
Roberson's offense
Bishop's offense
-
We need to include the following QBs in ratings:
KSU:
Smargiasso (FYI - He's dead last)
Kavanaugh
Dunn
Cody Lee
NU:
SaviorV.1 -- Joe Dailey
SaviourV.2 -- Curt Dukes
SaviourV.3 -- Harrison Beck

Roberson (raped that one chick)
quit F*cking Talking - he DID NOT rape that chick...she was another players girlfriend and there were atleast 4 other players that got a piece from her.....
*edited to clear up the air*

Why did you just quote me for truth and then say he didn't rape her? You sir, are confused.
-
In My Lifetime:
L. Dickey
Grogan
Roberson
Bishop
Beasley
May
D. Dickey
Manucci
Straw
Freeman
Watson
Miller
Kavanaugh
...everyone else.
Freeman may be a little high, but one more good season will put him in the Beasley/May range.

I see that you don't know what "QFT" means.

After what he did to the fans, Roberson deserved to be prison raped.

QFT.

Just an FYI
QTF stands for "Quoted for truth." Meaning you strongly agree with what was written.
It does not stand for "quit &@#%ing talking" as many people mistakenly assume.

I said he should have been prison raped, and Snyder raped him of his scholarship.
Like I said, I guess that makes Snyder a band wagon fan.
Only a fool looks at that situation and sees no dirt on Roberson. I'm not suggesting he did anything illegal (I don't think he did at all), but what he did was stupid, selfish and on the eve of the team's biggest game. That's why Snyder gave him the boot and I said he should be prison raped.
If that doesn't make sense to you, then you are the kind of guy that needs emoticons to express yourself.

LOL I knew it meant that you agreed with the post, but I never knew what the actual acronym was. I always read it as "quite fcking true" even though I knew that wasn't correct. I like my version better though.

wow, tons of misinformation about the nu qb situation, especially from supposed nu fans, pretty sad. Frost the best passer? lol
crouch a quitter? lol
-
Crouch quit the NU team and Frank Solich had to go beg him to come back . . . what else is there to know. Everytime an NFL team didn't do what Crouch wanted he quit there as well.
Quitter.
-
wow, tons of misinformation about the nu qb situation, especially from supposed nu fans, pretty sad. Frost the best passer? lol
Frost has the record at our school for the lowest career percentage of interceptions. In his two years he only threw 7 interceptions out of 359 attempts. He also has the record for consecutive attempts without an interception at 155.
If I was going off yardage I would probably say Dave Humm or Vince Ferragamo. Hell, maybe even Zac Taylor, but he was in an offense that passes a lot more so it's not really a fair comparison.
crouch a quitter? lol
I don't know what to tell you here. I'm sorry if what I said bothers you, but I feel like the facts support me.

Stay on topic guys... we're talking about QFT and other acronyms...
Although, I've always wondered what ttt meant, but never found a good opportunity to ask... anyone?

ok, consider this your education parker, free of charge.
The year Nuke got hurt he was very concerned about coming back from his injury after to long of a rest so he was trying to rush his rehab. Solich commited what would be many cardinal sin violations by promising that nomatter what, he would start the next year. At the time fearless frank thought it was a legit promise, and it probaly was. Unfornuately for fearless eric crouch exploded onto the qb scene in the spring like no other nu qb ever, not even tommie frazier had an impressive as spring. The team tried to bottle the hype, but eventually the media took notice, those who watched practices took notice and the players all said the same thing, crouch should start. crouch dominated in the spring game and did everything a man should do to wi nthe starting job. by this time everyone knew crouch should start. Frank went with nuke because of the promise. This was pretty much a stab in the back by frank to crouch. Now some of you might not know this, but crouch grew up without a dad and didn't have anyone to talk to. He went home, after classes on friday to talk to the only man who he had a father/son relationship with, and that was his hs coach. He never quit, he never withdrew from any classes or any of that stuff. Long story short, frank came crawling back, he decided to go out and win the job again. After the 3rd game of the year frank was forced to go with crouch after the most amazing single quarter of any college football player in the history of the game.
now. On to his stint with the rams. Martz asked Crouch what he thought about going t othe rams in the 3rd. crouch told them only if he got to play qb first. Otherwise he didn't want to be drafted. Marts promised and a verbal contract was formed. crouch got into camp, never got to play qb. So, he left. He didn't quit football, he just left the rams. See parker, you don't get it. you said before he should have just taken the money and been happy with wr but that isn't the mark of a true competitor. he wanted a legit shot at qb. it was his dream, he needed to know for a fact if he could make it or not. if martz wouldn't give it to him as promised he would go somepalce else.
He was on his way to the cfl to play FOOTBALL when the packers picked him up off waivers. they gave him a legit shot at qb. after a few days he was told he wasn't qb material and he was ok with that. he triede to help the team on spec teams and what not but he hadn't caught a punt in 6 years. Green bay cut him.
now, he is still playing football in the cfl as a qb. Doesn't sound like a quitter to me, sounds like somebody who has the integrity to turn down a big fat nfl contract and the chance to ride the pine and not earn that paycheck for the chance to play his favorite position. Some people can't get that, because they are not and never will be champions, crouch is a champion. how anyone can call him a quitter after watching him carry nebraska for 4 years is beyond me.
frost had mucho success because of an all american o-line and a superstar at rb. Crouch had none of that and still dominated enough to win the heisman.

It took you a thousand words to say absolutely nothing. I'm sorry if you have posters of Eric Crouch on your wall and he is your hero, but the fact is he has a tendency to take his ball and go home when things don't go his way. To deny it just makes you look like a dumbass because everyone could see it. And if you don't think he had talent around him then I don't know where you were a few years ago. It had bled out by 2001 a lot, but he had a ton of talent around him in 1998, 1999, and 2000.
As for Frost, you were completely off-base, and watching you backtrack from it was funny.
Keep your arrogant little comments to yourself until you know what the hell you are talking about. :poundon:
Later.

took his ball and went home? I know you love to take it up the as* for ksu fans but this is even beyond that. fact is, he never quit once. He enver quit Nebraska, just got really mad over an injustice that was done ot him. I wonder what would happen to you, if you got passed over for a promotion at work because the girl that got it was blowing the boss. You telling me you wouldn't be mad or think about leaving? well, fact is crouch never quit nebraska, he never quit playing football period, beceause that is what he is doing right now. and unless I am mistaken, he isn't the starter and he isn't quitting. Just because you have no integrity parker doesn't mean everyone should act like you.
-
 Crouch is a champion! Yeah man, he's a champion!

whats his first name?

You just accused Bobby Newcombe of blowing Frank Solich, and you are saying I have no integrity?
I think what you are calling lack of integrity is the fact that I say what I think, and I don't take the homer position on everything. As for you, well, not so much. :blahblah:
-
who accused nuke of blowing who? lol. I never faulted bobby in any of my posts, only frank. a good hc never promises a starting position to anyone. especially to a kid coming off a serious injury. and I am not taking the homer point of view, only the factual one. I realize that you have no facts and only regurgitate what you hear from others or talk radio but that is on you.
you still havn't been able to tell me how a guy can quit football, yet still be playing football. that is just hard to grasp
-
You are such a joke. Ignoring facts? You wanted to sound real smart so you laughed when I said Frost might have been the best passer we had. Then I showed you his records in passing and you started making excuses. "But, but, Frost had Ahman Green and a great line! How dare you say he was a good passer and base it on facts! No one is as good as Eric Crouch! My dad says so and he's super smart!" :crybaby:
Crouch was a great qb, but your obsession with him is slightly disturbing. :lick:
-
Crouch couldn't hold Frazier's jockstrap. Crouch was the most overrated player ever (well maybe that Polus guy from ND).
Crouch = Only Heisman winner ever that had more INTs than TDs, yep great QB there.
To the gay, happy NU guy :ustupid:
-
so, you throw out some rinky dinky stat about him not throwing slot of picks and that prove it huh? do you remember our offense back then, remember the low percentage passes he had to throw? you7 obviously never coaches or played and wouldn't know a good passer if one bit you in the face.
still waiting to hear how crouch quit a sport he is still playing. I guess by your logic, zac taylor is nothing but a quitter as well
-

Good god. It's like each time you post in this thread you make less and less sense and become more and more desperate. First you accused Newcombe of having an inappropriate relationship with Solich, and now there are quarterbacks biting my face? :loly:
Okay, whatever.
I'm going to pause here and remind you what you are acting like a dumbass about: all I said was that Frost might have been the best passer we had, and that though Crouch was a great quarterback, he has had a tendency to give up when things don't go his way...nothing worth throwing a tantrum over.
I stand by what I said, as the facts support my opinion in both cases. But by all means, keep crying about it. :crybaby:
ERIC CROUCH'S POST HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL CAREER
Quarterback at Nebraska...........didn't get starting qb job and then tried to quit
St. Louis Rams..........didn't like to play wideout and then quit
Green Bay.........didn't cut it as NFL qb, didn't like to play wideout, and then quit
Hamburg Germany Sea Devils...........didn't like to play safety and then quit
Toronto Argonauts............beaten out for qb by Michael Bishop and then ??
Are you seeing the pattern here yet?
