What sports did you guys play. Quiz Bowl and Marching Band don't count.
-
Tennis - (very high level)
Football - Tight End (if I did play)
Basketball - SG (If I did play)
Baseball - No interest, terrible sport.
-
FB,BB & Track.
got smoked by simoneau in state 100 finals...and his anchor in the 4x100 relay blew our anchor away. we had like a 40 yard lead too.
-
Basketball (3rd string C team)
Football
Track (shot, discus, javelin)
Quiz Bowl (oh, you said that didn't count)
-
Basketball..but I never got any PT :crybaby:
Granted two of the starters on my team are either currently playing D1 ball or in the NBA, and one more is playing at the D-II level.
I did OK in track.
I didn't do football because I was in band(and I'm really unathletic.) Our football team was pretty horrible when I was there though. Now that I'm gone they're going to state championships.
-
Frosh: frosh basketball, frosh football, golf
Soph: jv basketball, jv football, golf
Junior: jv/varsity basketball, track (worst javelin thrower ever)
Senior: varsity basketball (starter), track (still worst jav thrower ever)
Basketball was the only sport I was good at. I was an okay golfer I guess.

Golf. 2-time team state champion. Should have won it individually one year, at Topeka Country Club, which is hard as &@#%. Went 34-45, which is 2 under to 10 over at that course (actually played the back nine first). Things start unraveling at this one hole, a 350 yard hole, with the wind. Push it out right, and thought it might have hit the trees or something, so we looked about 50-150 yards out. Can't find it, so I go back and hit a second ball. Turns out one of the parents found my first ball right after I hit, actually green-high, so I decided to play out both balls and get a ruling later on. Triple bogeyed my second ball, but actually birdied by original ball. However, I have to take my second ball. 4 stroke swing. Winner shot 75. I sucked after that round. I'm still bitter to this day.

my top two choices were GC and coffeyville.
damn im an idiot.
-
Played baseball all 4 years, 2 years of football(so,jr), 1 year of swim/dive(so), and 1 year of bowling(sr).
-
I played Magic: The Gathering.
-
Football-2nd string TE, but I played a ton because we ran a ton 2 TE sets and the 1st string guy was also the starting MLB, we went to the 6A State Semi-Finals my Senior Year, and I caught a couple of TD passes during the season.
Basketball-Didn't play a whole bunch but I was on the varsity my Jr and Sr year, played behind an all-state guy, we were state runner-up my Senior Year, I scored a couple of buckets in the state championship game in mop up duty.
Track-Javelin, 3rd in State my Senior Year.
I played behind a guy who went on to be a pretty good player at ku in football, and behind another guy who was pretty much the whole team at Baker in basketball.

This thread is extremely pathetic.

This thread is extremely pathetic.
Read: "I couldn't make any team in high school. Or ever."
-
Try, no. It's pathetic when you have a bunch of middle age guys rekindling their high school glory years when none of them are even that impressive. It would have been different you had just said "Yeah, I played MLB." But no, you go on with "Yeah, I was varsity (STARTER!!!)" or "I played behind the best guy in the state, that's why I didn't start." I'm just saying, it reeks of depression.

If it was a "glory years" type of situation, you think I'd be talking about sitting on the bench or being unathletic?

Yes, "worst jav thrower ever" is a holla at my glory days. Secondly, I'm not middle-aged, so it wasn't that long ago. Admit it: you suck(ed) at all sports.
-
Whatever you say Kougs. I really do believe you would be better on KStateFans. New Joco apartment baby! Yeah!

Baseball 4 years
Soccer one year... then I realized how incredibly lame it was.
Track 1 year: 400 med/long jump/100 mtr
Wish I had played football, but had very low FBIQ back then.
