For starters, K-State will run a West Coast offense under first-year coach Ron Prince. Franklin said the Wildcats will spend the spring building a solid rushing game and short passing attack -- key West Coast elements -- then develop a vertical passing game over time.
This is going to scare some K-State fans. "We're not like Nebraska@!!!!11!@12!!!" :)
Franklin also said K-State practices will be open to high school and junior college coaches and recruits, and that one of the staff's primary goals is to win the recruiting battles in its own back yard.
This seems so simple, but it seems like a great idea.
And of course...
"We're thinking woe is me," Franklin explained. "We don't have any corners. We don't have any defensive linemen. We don't have a lot of guys on the board."
Enter Prince, decked out in a 10-gallon cowboy hat. Exit any thoughts of woe.
I posted this here in case people didn't want to read my WTF thread.

Eureka! The simplest ideas are sometimes the greatest.

Man, I'm going to miss the option. It sucked trying to watch us run it lately, but I so loved watching Ell run. Was there anything more beautiful?

Watching Ell and Darren run the option was beautiful. Sometimes it blew up, but I sure as heck wouldn't have wanted to be a D-coordinator and try to find a way to stop that. *sigh*
