Am guessing no news isn't good news. This is like a bad episode of 'Green Acres.'
-
what's green acres?

what's green acres?
An old TV show from the 60s where the wife doesn't want to move to the country. Granted, my analogy is a bit of a stretch, as Mrs. Oppenheimer currently lives in Kent freaking Ohio.

as others have posted in other threads and stuff and everything and so forth, it is also possible that they are waiting to hire him so that he can recruit this summer without the constraints of the recruiting rules for coaches, then he will sign a contract later on.
don't know if i buy that, but it could be a possibility, unless it isn't. and stuff.

J-Mart said he agreed to come and they agreed to a contract. They can take a while to work out the details.

Don't know about Opp but I think we might be close on finalizing the deal with Gary Parrish as our new Eagle beat writer. Expect Parrish to hand in his resignation to Sportsline any day now. Guys, be excited. Gary is coming home!

Sightings: UMass coach Travis Ford, Nevada coach Mark Fox, former Fresno State coach Ray Lopes and Josh Oppenheimer, who was an assistant at Kent State, then at Kansas State for a few days and is now looking for a job after leaving the Wildcats to be closer to his family in Chicago. More coaches, including Crean, and possibly Florida's Billy Donovan, are expected later this week to watch the games.

I think it's safe to say that he's not going to coach at Kent next season.
According to two different sources, ex-Ohio star and former Kent assistant Geno Ford will replace Josh Oppenheimer on Jim Christian’s staff, giving AD Laing Kennedy another excellent prospect to move over whenever Christian leaves for a bigger job.
