ESPN’s Top-20 recruiting classes as of today (5-17-07):
1. USC
2. Syracuse
3. Florida
4. Indiana
5. Kansas State
6. Duke
7. Kentucky
8. Arizona
9. Ohio State
10. Depaul
11. Purdue
12. UNLV
13. Texas A&M
14. Cincinnati
15. Oklahoma
16. St. John's
17. Texas

Five Big-12 teams on the list as well as five Big East teams, four Big-10 teams, two teams from both the SEC and Pac-10, and only one for the ACC! Kentucky made a big jump with the addition of Patterson. Too bad! And where the hell is Kansas on that list?
-
Texas Tech, #19?
-
four from the south, one from the north.
sucky trend developing.
-
I think #4 is probably about right for us. Keep in mind those rankings factor in JUCO recruits.
You also have to remember Gibbons put Yearby in his Top 100.

That is one hard-to-find list.

Yeah, that was also per Kelso.

I'm glad we've gotten away from package deals.
Obviously, there are hundreds — perhaps even thousands — of more qualified candidates to be KSU’s an assistant coach than a two bit high school coach whose high school coaching career in Michigan just happened to get launched at the same time his Yearby was approaching prep stardom...The early word is that Deilvez Yearby is KSU’s best player. He’s quite a package. We won’t know, however, if The Package (Delivez) was worth The Deal (Benny) until the 2006-07 season.

That's so brutally awesome.
We got rid of our best player?!? :D
I can't believe how porrly he played the 4.5 minutes he actually got to play last season.

I hope we're just playing along with the sarcasm. Whitlock did not write that.
Had to check.
