Title: 2007-2008 Football Season
Post by: KSUIntegrity22 on May 15, 2007, 09:54:02 AM
At Auburn - L This game reminds me a lot of the Fresno State game in 2004. It just gives me that feel. I think we'll come out of there having thrown a lot at them, and as long as we don't get ran out of town, I think this game will have a positive impact on our season.
San Jose State - W Nice way to recover, either way the Auburn game turns out. This team is capable of hanging around with us, however.
Missouri State - W Hopefully we don't lose either of these two home games, or this could be a long season.
At Texas - L I would love for us to go into Austin and beat Texas for the second straight year, but we can lose this game without it hurting us. All of the other north teams have to play OU/Texas as well.
Kansas - W I'd love to run it up on ku again. ku has been poor on the road under Mangino, especially in Manhattan. Lets keep it that way.
Colorado - W They will be better, and even if the coaches kid gets the job, this is a tough road game for a freshman. I don't see them getting that much better in one year.
At Oklahoma State - L I see this game at about 50/50, and it could be a very key swing game.
Baylor - W Seems to be the theme that our home game's shouldn't be too difficult. Shouldn't...
At Iowa State - W This would be our first road win, unless we win the swing game. Hopefully a repeat of the Colorado game from last year, although Ames is a tough place to play.
At Nebraska - W Another swing game, and if we win this one and the OSU game, it would take a lot for us to lose the north. If we lose OSU game, but beat NU, we are looking at 6-2 in Big 12 with the Tie Breaker against the favorite.  :hope:
Missouri - W Like ku, they have been horrible on the road. Chase Daniel does have something that BS never did, a win against us... I like us winning this game in Manhattan.
At Fresno State - W Let's get the bastards back for what they did in Manhattan in '04. And while we're at it, play dirty too.

So I have us in a range of 9-3 to 7-5. The key games being OSU and NU. A win such as Auburn or Texas would be nice to have along the way... But beating NU and losing to OSU and UT in Big 12 play, with no missteps, very well could mean a North Champion team.

Either way, it looks like we're going bowling.

I drink the Kool Aid

If our defense plays as well as currently advertised, OSU and NU will be a probable wins. Obviously, this would include protecting the ball on offense.

Our game against MU will be a battle this year. They're better but they're also here.

anyone who thinks were gonna lose the MU game is just plain stupid. that is probably our 3rd easiest game. when was the last time they won in Manhattan? 1991

So how many of these threads have we seen in the past two months?  My prediction is that we'll see atleast four more W/L prediction threads before the beginning of the season.

Based on this flawless logic, Missouri will lose all football games in Manhattan until the human race is extinct or college football no longer exists (think bionic bowl).  We should tell Missouri.  That way they could just not come to Manhattan and spend their travel money on moonshine and white robes.

Not that this means they'll get it done, but the North should be MU's to lose IMO.

Here's a little fun fact about Missouri.  I was doing a little research on them the other day and the last time Missouri won 9 games was in 1969.  That's &@#%ing pathetic.  They have won 8 a few times but they have had a very tough time breaking up to 9 wins.  With their defense expected to be worse this season, I seriously doubt they win more than 8.  archive that.

Nebraska is going to be far better this season than last, and we play you guys in Lincoln. I honestly think that's one of NU's easier games on the schedule.
