They finished the season with an RPI of 31 last year, and they were a 6 seed in the tournament.

They finished ranked 17th, but are not in Andy Katz’s early top twenty five for next year....but some other notables aren't either  ;)

They lose their top two scorers to graduation in Carter and Falls, both guards....which is nice for us.

Interesting that Wichita State plays in the same 4 team tourney as Winthrop (G. Marshall connection).  It would be hilarious if Winthrop beat the Shockers.

A #6 seed team from last year's tourney, loses 2 players, and we play them in a well-publicized tourney on nat'l TV...and we should beat them...and they're Notre Dame (who can't hate them, really).  That sounds great to me.  The exposure should be very good, obviously.  I wonder how come Wooly never scheduled this type of game.

BTW, I really wanted us to interview Brey a few years ago for our HC job.  He was at I think Rhode Island then.  He had a good pedrigree (Duke Asst), seemed like a rising coach....probably who MU should've gone after when they got Quin ie. they got the wrong assistant.
