Title: "Wooly-esque" Jamar Samuels..
Post by: The Manhatter on May 09, 2007, 08:30:55 PM
I know I would hate it if such a lowly recruited kids w/ offers from Tennessee and Georgetown contributed like this highly ranked recruit as a freshman...http://kansasstate.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=2&pr_key=31816 (http://kansasstate.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=2&pr_key=31816) ...not that WJ had a beasley, Walker, etc.

These 150+ recruits are never factors.

Damn, they must have finally updated his profile or something.  Only remembered George Mason.  It's nice to see Georgetown on his offer list.  I wonder if they saw something in him. ;)

not even ranked amongst power forwards.. http://kansasstate.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=2&pr_key=23249 (http://kansasstate.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=2&pr_key=23249)

Seton Hall and KSU for '07..guess they were the only ones that knew.  Tenn and G'Town for '08.  JTIII and Pearl don't know talent.  Shoot, Gillispie doesn't know talent either which is why V-Dub will fizzle.

Heres' a post-final multiple choice...This question is predicated on the 'fact' that GMcDermott/MAnderson/etc would be considered better hires than FMartin (or at least not question regarding experience),

So, if we beat the the likes of them, again, and end up in the top 3 of the B12 is it because:
a- we have talent at the expense of poor coaching?
b- we have mediocre talent and a better than average coach?
c- we have less than average talent and a great coach?

Please Manhatter,

Jamar Samuels will be a factor this year in support and in the future he will a major contributer at K-State.

You could have picked another recruit to talk about, but Jamar will be a consistent player at KSU in the upcoming years.

Such a clueless post, it almost wants to make one wanna puke.  :yuck:

I think it is an average coach with amazing talent next year.  It will be a big shift since last year we had the exact opposite.  No offense to Frank, but he is not going to be an amazing coach in his first year.  He will make mistakes and thats ok, he has the talent on the team to overcome.  I'm hoping with these players he sets a high bar and finds losing in any situation completely unacceptable which I think is very important in his first year.  It would be a nice change from Wooly's moral victory era.
