Who ya got???
I am taking Oscar as a sentimental pick.
I say Oscar wins by split decision.

Mayweather split decision.
-
I called that.
-
Indeed. I watched the fight. I thought Oscar won.

my freinds all thought Oscar won as well, i didn't get it. Mayweather dominated him technically.

It was probably because Oscar threw like 150 more punches. He just landed fewer and most of them were body shots.

Mayweather was just toying with him the whole time. It was an extremely boring fight that I wasted ppv money on. :banghead:

Seriously?
Oscar's punches were usually out of control and didn't do any damage. He never got a left hook the whole fight.
Mayweather fought the right fight keeping De La Hoya frustrated and picking his spots, relying on his D and his HUGE quickness advantage to tap on oscar's noggin.
I was rooting for oscar, but he pretty much got dominated. That said, I would've preferred a less technical fight with some free-swinging. If people are going to fight like that, they should go back to 15 rounds for championship fights.

no way oscar won the fight. he made the mistake of throwing upwards of 50 punches in the first couple rounds. it cracks me up how, just like floyd predicted, oscar always claims to be in the best shape of his life coming into every fight and seems to get tired around the 7th or 8th each time. it was pretty clear both fighters were tired in the final 2 rounds, and had oscar left some in the tank, maybe it could've been different in the end.
floyd's defense was fantastic. say what you want about floyd backing away and what not, but that's why speed kills and he wins fights. anybody who expected a slug fest obviously hasn't watch too many floyd mayweather fights.

I guess I have a hard time giving it to a guy that ran away and was moving backwards the whole night.

You mean the guy that landed all the punches?
-
Atleast all the significant punches. I don't think De La Hoya landed even one punch on Mayweather's head.
