still horrible.

I have to admit, I've kind of gotten into following KSU baseball. They are #35 in the RPI. If they can win 6 games in their last 3 Big 12 series, they are a lock for the Big 12 (8) tournament and maybe have a shot at the NCAA Tounament. I don't know how much of a shot they have at getting any of that done, I'll leave that to the experts like Saul.
-
Even w/ the RPI they'd have to finish strong to get an at-large berth.
I just don't see it happening this year, though. I know this is Wooly-esque but there is alot of young talent on this team, especially in the pitching staff, that will develop and get better next year. Couple that in that we had an actually tough non-con schedule for once, the future looks a bit brighter.

What do they look at for at large births? How much is RPI a factor? Winning conference record?
Even if we won 6 more league games, we'd finish under .500 in the league. Those two blowouts to OU really could come back to bite us, needed to win at least one of those.

That's a good question. I really don't know. I'm guessing it would be tough to take a team that didn't make its conference tournament, which is where I see us heading if we can't win some of these series.
http://www.boydsworld.com has a lot of good data. I'm guessing if you did enough research, you could identify trends.
