I like both boards and don't got to scout at all anymore, FWIW.

Yes.  The offseason is for pissing off the powertards.  Also, the HI posters on catchat.  Although fatty does the best job at baiting both.

Also, I like cocomonkey.  Quality poster.

Welcome Monkeyboy!

After around 9,000 posts on GPC, I decided it wasn't as much fun over there anymore and came over here. A lot more fun, less thin-skinned people, and definitely NOT a PC crowd. I think I post about 2 posts per week now on GPC.

Did you bring your patented misspelling skills?

when you look at how the russians got hold of some of our research and findings dating back to the earliest days of the manhattan project then look at the politics of the two gentlemen in question i don't think you would be looking to close at General Groves.

besides all oppy built was a bomb, Groves built from scratch entire cities, production facilities (including the K-25 gaseous diffusion plant which was the largest building in the world), and enriched enough material for the bombs inside of two years;-)

you want ideas use a scientist.

you want something done use an engineer.lol

i myself would have preferred showing a test to one/more Japanese officer/diplomats and letting them go back to consult.

however you are saying that General Groves was somehow evil or immoral b/c he went ahead with the operation against the wishes of some dufus academics and w/o consulting an officer who was not even in the theater that the operation was taking place in?

i fail to understand the reasoning behind that conclusion.

joke, coco.  I'm a true cub, you'll have to excuse me.  There was an earlier topic about James Franklin, OC, coming to my school but I wouldn't say which one as a general protection for my students from the internet and the board's tendency to stalk recruits.  I got crap about it, thus why I love this board. ...seriously, I do.

Please don't copy-paste any premium info from ksufans over there.  Just provide the link.  They are our main competitor right now and it doesn't help when traffic isn't driven over here.  We offer a much better product overall and would like to keep it that way.  Thanks for your cooperation.

Haven't signed up for ksufans premium yet?  It's not too late!  Only $79.99/mo or $900/yr (at a savings of $48!)

nothing hasty about it.

been in a running battle with the mods since last summer's article anointing DM as the starter at QB.

today i went at it again with one of them and when a friend responded negatively to the mod  and it came up under my post (she uses thread view and i use topic) and i snapped at her.

hell if i am getting so angry that i snap at friends it is time to stop paying for that privilege.lol

i can piss off my friends for free here.

gpc management is not going to miss me i assure you and i will get along w/o gpc just fine (after a little withdrawl period;-)

Maybe that's what we need.  A list of known tards.  Also, a ranking scale may be helpfull as well.  You know, like from 1 to 10.  1 being a tiny tard and 10 being a super uber tard, or something.

When you've got a couple hundred regularly online and potential for over 3K compared to 50 or so regularly online and a potential of 1K, then if kind of makes sense you'd have more "tards" on the site with more folks.  IMO.

But it is intentional nonsense.  There is a big difference between intentional and non-intentional nonsense.  That is the key.  This board majors in intentional nonsense and it is one of the reasons I enjoy it.

So, what qualifies one as a "powertard"?  Is there a test one can take to confirm or disconfirm one's powertard status?
Powertard test

1. Do you think that every recruit we ever get in every sport is "much better than the experts think" and all recruits that choose other schools are people we are "better off without"?

2. Do you kiss Tim Fitzgerald's butt for giving your information that you pay for?

3. Do you attack anyone who dares question something a k-state coach or administrator does?

4. Do you predict conference championships every season?

5. Are you too lazy/stupid to use Google?

6. Are you too lazy/stupid to read the board before you repost something that is already up, or ask a question that is already answered?

7.  Do you get into big arguments with trolls and get worked up into such a tissy that you ask mods for the banning of said trolls, rather than just ignoring the bait?

8.  Do fellow K-State fans think it's funny to bait you into arguments?

9.  Do you honestly believe that K-State only has moral, upstanding student atheletes, while schools like Colorado and Nebraska recruit mostly recruits thugs?

10. Do you know next to nothing about any team besides K-State?

If you can answer yes to any of these questions you might be a Powertard...seek help.  If you can answer yes to more than 5 of them leave this board and never return.  If you can answer yes to all... :flush:
