I was at the "game"..  Freemen looked completely pathetic!  He couldn't get his team to cross the 50 yard.... :katpak:.

Over hyped and overrated...

If Freeman would have had Wykes and Coleman it would have been a completely different game.

You guys, this purple team is not the same players that he has played with all spring. He has had good reviews all through spring practice, and probably because he had some consistancy with ONE oline. Give him a break. We'll see what happens in the fall.

He has had good reviews because Prince is the one giving them.

If Freeman threw for 250 yards, 3 TD's ... Prince would have been gushing over his performance. Then he would have defended the defensive performance by saying: "Well, they were up against an awfully good QB. Josh is terrific." Instead, Freeman stunk it up ... and so Prince had to praise the defensive effort. Meanwhile, Freeman gets the free pass.

Is it possible for everything to just come out good from one of these things? Seriously, you just admitted right there that you would have been bitching about the crappy defense if Freeman had a good game. What the hell do you want? No matter what, one of the teams is going to lose. This is a spring game. It isn't a good indication of anything at all.

No, that's not it at all. When did I say I'd bitch over the performance ... no matter how it turned out?

I understand what you are saying. There is never a clear-cut winner/loser in an intrasquad game. After all, it's KSU vs. KSU.

It's just that Prince made it seem as if, oh, nevermind.  :)

This basically says that you would complain either way. That is where I got the idea from..

Bingo!  Not many know this, but Ron Prince is actually Ron Freeman in one of those fat-guy suits.

Did you notice the defense that Freeman was playing?

You guys are freaking out over nothing... and to say that "freeman gets a free pass"...

You're right, the coaches aren't going to mention his mistakes at all............  :ustupid:

it would be fair to say that freeman didn't miss any wide open receivers.  his receivers were always covered, and covered well.  mainly because dgon and wilson just aren't that good.

still, some of the throws were real headscratchers.

I'm hoping the game was an aberration and not part of a trend, but its hard to tell.  The sad part is, in the Fall, if Freeman sucks a$$ again, he's STILL going to be the starter because he's "Prince's boy."  I'm not saying Coffman is better--just that Prince has put all his eggs in the Freeman basket.

Wilson wasn't on Freeman's team...Freeman had Gonzo and Jordy...both likely starters for next year unless the new guys coming in are just awesome.

my bad.

outside of jordy, all our receivers look the same...bad.

if at least one of the new receivers isn't starting in 3wr sets, it could be a very rough year in the passing department.
