I think so and he has a more physically matured body than Durant has.  He might not score as much, but averaging close to a double-double (18 pts 9.5 rebs) is what I think Beas will be getting it done with next year.

No.

I wouldn't go as far as to say he'll be national POY as a freshman, but I wouldn't be suprised to see him avearage a 18 & 8 and be first team all-conference.  He'll be on Sportcenter more than his fair share.

No.

Not fair to Durant because he can't stack up to Beas.  Right?

if he doesn't stack up, it's cause beaz will not have an augustin setting him up.

Unrealistic expectations are what doomed Jason Bennett's career at KSU (thanks to J Rake for pointing that out to us).
Please, don't put unrealistic expectations on young Michael, he may never remember how to dribble again.

Yes...and the fact that he will share the front court with another RSCI top 10 player and a returning SR all-conference forward.

Not trying to knock Durant's talent, but I don't think he puts up those kind of numbers if UTs entire team from the previous year hadn't left early.

I agree, but Aldridge and Gibson would have been experienced upperclassmen and more talented than Mason & James.  The starting 5 would have been Augustine, Abrams, Gibson, Durant & Aldridge.  I think it would have been much harder for Durant to become the focal point in that group...that would have been a damn good team too BTW.

true, durant wouldn't have gotten the opportunities in that group, and that team would have had ff written all over it.

The Big XII POY comes off the bench?  ;)

They would have been incredible.

Hell, you guys are forgetting Tucker.

If all 3 of those guys came back last year, that team would have been off the charts good.

Man...first I forget Richie Terry in one thread, then I forget PJ Tucker in another.

Point still stands.  Now I must serve a self-imposed ban on posting for the rest of the day for my utter suckage.
