An article about AE battling for the starting job at Wisconsin. Not to often you hear about a player being "forced" to leave a 5-6 team to taking over a top 10 football team. Hope he gets it. He's a good kid.

Classy post.
I hope stuff works out for him too. Obviously you guys are sitting great with Freeman, but Evridge could be a great one too.
-
Sure wish Evridge was still around. But I wish him the best at Wisconsin. Could be fun to follow him this coming season, if he wins the starting role.

We're the classiest fans in college football. :chirp:

its not like we have any reason to be angry with Evridge for leaving K-State. Dude is a stud, and I was extremely sad to see him go. I have never seen a freshman that was so tough, and had so much composure. Remember the Tech game? Slay ripped a new one... twice, the guy just kept getting back up.
that being said, Freeman is the mother &@#%ing tits.
-
I'll never forget the fact that he completed like 5 of 27 passes in Lincoln, and we lost by 2.

Ridiculous that Webb played like two plays that game. Webb wins if he plays.
-
Yes, He converted like a 3rd and 18 too, before we fumbled or threw a pick on the 2 or something. Worst game evar. Thank God AE was yanked in the mizzou game.

Webb's a better passer than evridge? He ran pretty well that game anyways

Evridge was injured and didn't do crap for the last three games or so. At that point Webb was the better passer, and I don't think there's any doubt who the better runner was.

I don't think Snyder and Webb ever "hit it off" very well here. Webb always seemed to be battling for respect. I think the ku game in Lawrence and the debacle he was when he came into that one probably contributed to that. He made up for that at times (like the NU game in Manhattan, and Snyder's last game), but it never seemed to be enough for Snyder to make him the guy for whatever reason.

I don't think that Webb put in the work needed to be a qb at KSU, I think he had some talent, and possibilities but he just didn't want to put the work in. There were games in his career when he looked completely lost, like there was no way whatsoever that he did the homework needed to get into the game.
-
i think he liked meier too much... he was always impressed with meier's make-up of who he was and how he approached the game. he said after his rs year that meier knew every single thing about every single offensive play, and that impressed him...
webb was kindof a make it up as you go
god i miss roberson

Yeah, I agree with that. I don't think he was a great preparer or practice player either and that wasn't going to go well with Snyder. When he did put in the effort and came to play he was a very solid player though.

i cant believe you used the word solid when describing webb... lol.
i agree, NU in manhattan made me a happy man... welcome to the big 12 callahan
-
webb had a number of very solid games, mizzou 04, 05, nu 04, off the top of my head. Games that you think, wow, he looks like Roberson of 02. But for every one of them, he'd have 2 games where it was painfully obvious that the defenses were confusing the hell out of him.
-
"down set... oh god... uhh... audible option right option right..."
-
what did Webb do once he transferred down a division to that school in Texas? i saw his stats after about 3 or 4 games, and they were HORRIBLE. maybe he was pulled after that. he was a good athlete.
-
i dont know, i liked the kid though...
you could see in his eyes that he was home in manhattan... going through a transfer is never easy, esp when you have to battle a guy who's been in the system for 3 years. i have good memories from AW... sure he had his bad moments, but what qb's from ksu havent since 03?
-
Whatever.
I can tell you Evridge is a pretty happy guy right now. He's battling for the starting QB spot of a top 10 team, and he's engaged to Stacy Speigelberg  (or however her name is spelled.)
-
I'd be a happy man too... hope my fiance doesnt read this

carson coffman. dude is flawless.
-
he's chase's brother right? theres one flaw. i hate that bastard
-
I think that flaw is negated by the fact that he looks like Alfred E. Newman.
-
ian campbell's gonna shut him down this year, and chandler's going to light up rucker :billypopcorn:
