“They did the right thing,” Huggins said. “If they don’t (hire Martin), they’re in deep trouble. Kids would bounce everywhere.”

Not sure how I feel about that.

He's right.

Despite the notions of a "master plan" floating around, I'll have a pretty hard time believing that Huggins intended to give up his coaches and players before he bolted.
-
Yea, not sure Huggins wouldn't have prefered Martin and Hill in Morgantown with him. Afterall, they only compiled his highest rated recruiting class to date.
What was he gonna say, "I am real upset that they retained my staff, I wanted them to come with me and recruit me another #1 ranked class."
-
The part that spoke volumes to me was how Huggs said that if we didn't keep Crazy Frank and Delonte, kids would bounce everywhere. Huggins knew exactly how deep and wide the hole he was digging for K-State was- he basically admitted it in this quote.

If he were being honest, more like, "I am pissed they acted so fast in retaining my staff. They were to come to WVU with me and bring their #1 class with them leaving K-State completely &@#%ed."

Based on your other posts, I think you know exactly how you feel.

I could be way off, but my suspicion is that Huggins tried to contact Sutton's coach (and likely others as well) the instant after he was shocked to learn that Frank and Hill wouldn't be coming with him.

I wouldn't be suprised. The "look at all the parting gifts I left you" is a nice spin though, if true. At this point it really doesn't matter...it's starting to look like a win-win situation.

Oh.....I'm so happy we have It's blessing as to what we do with out basketball program. Hey fatass.....

Kind of dependent whore-ish. Dependent being the key word since this was the only option.

QFT. "Home" didn't blindly pull him away. He knew how bad he was &@#%ing us.
